push the button hard enough for it to register that it’s been pressed, as the buttons do not depress they’re just meant to be touch sensitive. 2. The new cutlery drawer is useless but luckily you can remove it and throw it away. The problem is that if you use the cutlery drawer there’s not enough room on the regular top row for tall glasses or drink bottles. 3. The sections in the cutlery basket are much smaller because they have to go over the prongs as there’s no dedicated cutlery basket area any more, so the walls in the cutlery basket are so wide the pockets that the cutlery sits in are much smaller, for example, I can’t fit the immersion blender bottom in the cutlery basket any more. 4. The dishes seem to come out much wetter than my old machine, even after selecting the “extra dry” function

Disappointed by bosch – I have bosch washer, dryer, cooktop and thousands of dollars in bosch power tools. This is the onoy product i regret buying. It has been terrible from day one. It doesnt wash properly, even using extra dry function everything is soaked.. i love bosch products but regret buying this item.
A great dishwasher – I've read a few reviews here and can't understand why they are so negative. This machine is quiet, cleans thoroughly, has plenty of options and programs. for. The Auto Wash cycle is the one we use most of the time and it works very well and dries just as well as our old Miele. Most important of all, it has a cutlery tray at the top as did our old Miele. This was a necessity as it keeps all the cutlery separated so there are no spots. It also has a cutlery basket for the bottom tray that can be placed anywhere and can be used for large utensils or removed completely to make more room for dishes. Bowls, plates, side plates, all stack well and all the tines in the bottom tray can be laid flat for pots and pans. The middle basket has three levels and has tines that can be laid flat. It also has an area for intensive cleaning, three jets that can be turned on and off to clean those difficult to clean dishes (think dried on egg and other hard to move stuff). It does reduce power to the middle arm so only turn it on when necessary.
It's only new, so I can't judge on it's reliability or longevity. I'll report back in a few years and comment about that.

great to be able to revert to the basket option if needed. My video shows the basket removed. This model also features a wifi connection, however we don't use it.

when they returned. I waited and waited, and they never got back to me, so I contacted them again and sure enough the person was indeed back from leave. We went through problem determination, and they told me the error code was unknown to them and they would have to investigate and get back to me, which of course they even did. after calling them back a few times over the next several weeks I got the same runaround so I gave up (which is what I can only assume they wanted).
Can't Fault As Yet – After 7 years my Smeg gave up living and I needed a new dishwasher. I'm a tight butt and did a lot of reading and reviewing. Working like a charm. Things coming out clean when I had my doubts. Go Bosch! Very happy and everything is clean and dry. Can't believe that I waited so long. Best Dishwasher I have ever owed.
$1600 machine performs worse than our old $500 IKEA unit – As the title says, we "upgraded" to this machine from our old $500 IKEA unit when it broke. Unfortunately this performs worse in every way. Forget about any of the cleaning options aside from the most energy and water intense, as they do not clean the dishes. of our cutlery has started getting rust spots now. It is nowhere near as silent as the 44dB it claims. I've measured 52dB. The buttons on the front are not "physical", but a glass touch screen, so it's impossible to tell when you've pressed a button properly. The delay between pressing and something happening is a good 3-4 seconds and very frustrating.
In summary this unit cleans fine using the most intensive options and the recommended detergent, does not dry at all, is noisy, and at the price, is terrible value.

Great dishwasher. The only problem, it does not dry completely – It is a super quiet, nice looking model, dishes come out sparkling clean. But it does not dry my dishes correctly, even after selecting an extra drying setting. The dishes are still a little wet, not ready to put away at the end of the cycle.
Very noisy – Bought this to replace a 15 year old Miele dishwasher. It claims to be silenceplus. There is no comparison between the two. The Bosch is significantly more noisy brand new than the Miele was after 15 years. Lots of plastic and no side panels. from the dishwasher the sound level is more like 58dB on the standard sensor program mode and it makes a cacophony of annoying noises. Just finished its first wash. The dishwasher is dripping wet and it did an average job of cleaning. Of the four dishwashers I own this one leaves things the wettest and cleans no better than cheap no brand models. As for the ease of use too many useless program options. I would not recommend this dishwasher.

Fantastic dishwasher. Great features. Top cutlery rack is a bonus – Being a domestic maintenance Plumber for 49 years I have put in a lot of dishwashers.
