This is a dud site, took 4 days after taking my money before listing, then listed under brand rather than type of boat in this case house boat and I paid the extra for "featured", save your money and look at other options,

The enquiries that come are more genuine and serious – Less enquiries come from boatsales but the enquiries that come are more genuine and serious. I advertised in facebook and gumtree but in the end boatsales produced the person that concluded the deal. Show reply

Over 11 yrs of bad reviews and here is another one. How can this still be a thing? The extortion for an ad that gives you absolutely no potential buyers is unbelievable. It should be commissioned based if the boat is sold. I should have done my due diligence prior to paying so here I am warning others not to use this site. FB marketplace and gumtree have better results.

Boatsales.com rubbish customer service – Platform is easy to use but their call centre is never open despite the website saying it is. Difficult to contact and slow to reply via email. Also the adds are bit expensive for what you get.

Not worth the cost :( – The site was ok to list on. But not worth the money. However I got ZERO enquiries after a week. Facebook marketplace I had serious buyers coming from the moment I listed it and I sold it on there within 3 days of listing.

Extremely overpriced and useless – Save your money and just use FB Marketplace or Gumtree. I spent $180 to advertise my boat, not a single enquiry in 2 weeks. My (FREE) FB Marketplace and Gumtree ads had heaps of enquiries and after 2 weeks sold for asking price via the FB ad. Same thing happened last time I sold a car using carsales. People use the free sites to look just as much. This mob are extremely overpriced for the useless service they offer.

Stick with the best in the business! – I tried Facebook Marketplace on the recommendation of a friend and found it to be a horrible experience - I deleted the ad and put the boat Boatsales.com.au, had three genuine enquiries in the first 48 hours and sold it today. A great result - thanks!!

Be patient and get good results – The only reason is that the buyer has a lot of sales to go through and this takes time and as you know there are a lot of scammers or just nuisence lookers. However if they leave their phone number, I call them to ensure a honest buyer. This worked for me with a good sale and nice buyers.

Ripp off – Was extremely expensive, like over the top expensive and did not get a single txt or phone call from it Yet Facebook I received multiple messages and sold within 2 weeks at 75,000 You guys charge 200 to 300 and have 10,000 boats for sale, almost criminal

Total Rubbish – I have an older boat and have listed it twice now for $7000 (so listing cost is free). Both times I had a good response but couldn’t understand why nobody followed up after I responded to their questions. Turns out that nobody got my responses. All messages were flagged as not read. Total rubbish.

Very quick sale – Many deep searches and a very prompt location of a true buyer within three weeks. I would definitely use this site again. Easy setup and editing and high volume traffic. Show reply

Boatsales.com – Very easy site to use. Sold my boat as expected. Note don't advertise a boat over winter unless you want it sold for a huge discount. Advertise in mid spring and boat will be sold during summer. A tad price in my opinion, but you will get your boat sold. Show reply

Expensive way to sell a boat in a sellers market – I listed my Riviera on the Boatsales site. Noticed later a charge of $700+ to my credit card for the premium ad service. This is outrageous, and was not clearly spelled out when I placed the ad. Based on the responses, I could have sold the boat anywhere. There were people looking for exactly what I had.
