Battery drains out in a jiffy – Bought this laptop one year and 3 days ago for my son. The battery drains out very quickly even though for normal use he dims the backlight. Called, ASUS after sales, and they just shrugged me off, instructing me to send the laptop to their service centre. They charge a fee for the assessment obviously and take 10 to 15 days Better off buying a battery and replacing it myself to get some life out of it..

So far, so good. I have just received it recently but it is running everything like a dream and the casing of the laptop itself seems so robust feel more assured when I will be taking this interstate. It will be as though I have bought my PC with me where-ever I go. IN fact I think it outperforms my PC! The graphics and display is sleek, the keyboard and touchpad is responsive, and although the fan noise can be distracting it isn't too bad and can be adjusted.

They have placed fan outlets to the side of the laptop at the back so that the outlet is also freely exposed rather than being simply underneath the laptop which helps to cool it.

I am dismayed though that the keys are not larger/taller. They are quite slim and low to the keyboard - as a writer I prefer the satisfation of the click of keys. However I can see how this is positive for gaming. But also, I have long nails so it can be a little bothersome to use them.

Also it is quite heavy with a shorter battery life than my old laptop; Bottom line is this. It is a great gaming laptop for the price, however I would rate it lower on utility as a laptop for university du to the bulky weight of it. It will be perfect for holidays/travel away though -- just not for public transport to school. I will be getting a slim tablet/chromebook for that.

So do buy this if your main wish is a gaming laptop! Not if you want something light and slim to write on / travel with on public transport!

However, the cash-back offer from Harvey norman was super confusing and I am still unsure how that works, ,I would like more clarity at the point of sale next time.,

At the heart of this machine is a very responsive AMD Ryzen that is just waiting for you to put it tp work and it does not disappoint. While this SKU is missing the second m.2 slot, I quickly added a second 2.5" SSD with the provided SATA cable and screws.

The included system management software is easy to use and provides for some useful tweaking for balancing performance\battery life.

Keeping my development software on the SSD and attaching an external HDD to store my large stream games was a great option to make up for any local storage limitations.

One of the important decisions to stay with ASUS is the driver support web site which is easy to navigate and identify any driver\firmware updates.

The Asus TUF A15 is a fast machine, the one I got was the Ryzen 7 4800H with GTX 1650 Ti with 16 GB ram, and I'm telling I could play any game with fps going off the charts such as GTA 5, RDDR2, Watch dogs legion and my all time favorite Cyber Punk! The keyboard is to die for, and the spacing is on point on this laptop. The fan noise is incredibly quiet despite what other reviewers say (Even my acer aspire was noisier). I highly love the 144hz display too!!

The only downside I have with this laptop would be that the battery is only 48WH (I can't find any in stock for the 90WH). Normal browsing would do me about 3 hours, and gaming for about 2, however not really that bad as this is supposed to be for gaming so you should already have a power plug nearby.

Overall I give this laptop a 10/10, this laptop is perfect for any gamer! I wouldn't recommend this for normal/light users though, great job Asus!!

Teenage gamer is happy – Purchased mainly for Leaque of Legends online gaming for a teenager. Performs really well for the purpose. The setup was easy. Needed to uninstall preinstalled McAfee virus protection but licensed F-Secure internet security was able to manage that well.

Awesome value – Recently upgraded to this laptop after much research and consideration. Out of the gates it is a lightweight and clean looking machine.
