Faulty Wifi Adaptor – Everything was absolutely perfect for 8 months until the wifi adaptor broke and has been broken ever since. Sent it to the Asus Repair Centre in which they wiped everything as well as replaced the adaptor. Two weeks later, it was broken once again. Great balance between power and value! – I was attracted to this laptop because of its durability, relative power to price performance and the newer Ryzen 7-4800H CPU. Cons: -Lacks raytracing in this model, but it wasn't worth the cost trade off -It is not of metal construction, but is MILSPEC and feels still durable -It has quite bright RBG lighting which won't suit everyone out of the box -Lacks some I/O options like a card reader etc -USB-C port is output only (AFAIK)
Highly recommended if you want an affordable but powerful gaming and multi-purpose machine. Would not suit as a desktop replacement if you want to play at 4K or with Raytracing but for a portable machine it has been wonderful. There's a reason these have been so hard to get!

charge and the IPS 144 Hz display is good enough but struggles only a little in direct sunlight.
This laptop provides awesome performance across the board, especially in demanding loads on par with most Intel models in games however has better battery life.
I have no hesitation in recommending these laptops. Been my best purchase in computer hardware for 2020, Very Happy with them.

This is the best entry level gaming laptop for its price and it's competitors came no where close. One thing that I have to agree with based on reviews is that the fans are a bit loud which is not that noticable when you have a headset on. you can't really complain with this laptop because you get a ryzen 7 and a gtx 1660ti which is the best deal i have seen

Budget friendly laptop for both office use and gaming – I was searching for a laptop that is decent enough to be used for both office use and gaming when I came across this one. RAM slots. The 16GB model I purchased comes with a single reasonably descent Samsung SODIMM capable of 3200MHz. Being a single module, it's going to be easy to just slot in another to upgrade to 32GB.
I've already upgraded by adding a WD Blue SN550 1TB SSD. The hardest part was being careful to take the cover off slowly as not to scratch it. Slotting in and tightening the screw around the SSD was all that was needed. Boot up, format the SSD and it was all ready to go.
I've run a userbenchmark with the system set to Turbo in Armoury Crate. Yes the fans get loud and the temperature shoots up, but that is to be expected when you are stressing a laptop. Attached are the results which are pretty fair.
Yes the R9 is now available, as well as the option of R7 4800H with RTX 2060. However comparing a lot of benchmarks, the extra performance vs price ration is not good and I decided that the R7 4800H with the GTX 1660 Ti was the performance sweetspot unless I wanted to spend about another $800+ to go for a Zephyrus G15.
Performance and upgradability make the TUF A15 a fantastic buy.

Can't be beaten value – Purchased to replace my old Dell, I cannot speak highly enough of this machine for day to day use, and for light gaming. Out of the box the laptop is very quick and light. The screen is great for the price range. Data transfer is also outstanding with a m.2 external usb drive. My only complaint is that the usb C is not Power port compatible. Overall 10/10 Show details

Better but could've been THE BEST – The main problem with this laptop is with the thermals. For some reason all of a sudden the fans start running loud and during gaming the device runs hot.
