this time.Action was to monitor. At next service the leak was again confirmed and leak was supposedly remedied by replacing transmission housing seal (2023) at a cost to me of $960 as the vehicle was now out of warranty. 16 months later (2025) there is still an oil leak this time the Honda dealer says that the leak is due to porosity of the transmission housing casting. From a literature search, it appears that the cracking evident in the photos is due to a defective casting process, a phenomenum know as "rats tails", this is not something which develops in time, it is a manufacturing defect caused by incorrect temperature control during the casting process. QAQC processes should prevent defective components like this one being used. Honda Australia have been contacted about supplying a replacement transmission and they have refused. A case has now been raised with consumer protection so we shall see how this progresses. Update - After Honda Australia was contacted by Consumer Protection they agreed that the fault was not due to wear and tear and agreed to pay for the repairs. I should not have needed to refer this case to Consumer Protection as logic and common sense should have prevailed!!

practicality. The power delivery is zippy and responsive, giving it a lively character around town, yet it remains impressively fuel efficient – I average around 5–5.5L per 100km on the highway, which is fantastic for a petrol SUV of this size.

Day-to-day driving is a breeze as the CX-3 is super easy to drive, park, and manoeuvre. The seats are comfortable even on longer trips, and I really like the sporty styling touches that make it look sharp on the road. Highway driving is especially enjoyable thanks to the radar cruise control, which takes the stress out of longer journeys.

One of the things I appreciate most is that Mazda continues to use a traditional 6-speed automatic transmission rather than a CVT. It makes the car feel more engaging and connected to drive, with smooth shifts and better response when overtaking.

Overall, the CX-3 GT SP G20 is a great package – zippy, efficient, stylish, and comfortable, with just the right amount of technology to make driving easy and enjoyable

So far, the car has met my expectations. I’ll update this review in the coming months or years if any issues arise.

sleek look — not too flashy, but just clean and modern. The ride feels smooth, even on rougher roads, and the petrol engine’s got enough pep to make city driving fun without killing the fuel tank.

Inside is comfy, seats are good, and the tech stuff (like the screen and features) feels pretty solid for what you pay. It’s not a supercar or anything, but for everyday driving and weekend trips it just works. Definitely surprised me — solid choice if you want a reliable SUV that doesn’t feel boring.

10/10 would recommend for anyone wanting a comfy, easy‑going ride with some style.

The cruise control is a welcome addition and works well. If auto high beam lights are your thing then great. I personally prefer regular high beam lights. Electric Window switches on center console underneath the miniature lcd display. Not the best spot for these in my book. I bought this adorable little car second-hand 10 years ago, and in the time I've had it, it's been ridiculously cheap to run, cheap to service, and… Read more

wonderfully dependable.

THE GOOD:

✅ Fuel economy has been great. ✅ Parts have been relatively easy to source. Japanese make and very practical. When I needed a clutch cable for it in 2020 I was easily able to find what I needed cheaply from a Suzuki wrecker. ✅ It's fitted with a timing chain, not a belt, so it doesn't require replacement at intervals like many cars this size would! ✅ Apart from regular maintenance and oil changes, I haven't had to do much except change the tyres and battery periodically. Very undemanding, cheap and reliable! ✅ It's tall on the inside. I've moved house twice with this car and transported all sorts of furniture either in the car, or on the roof racks! ✅ Wonderfully small and able to fit into many parking spots that drivers of fancier or bigger cars wouldn't dare attempt ✅ Excellent driver visibility because of the high seat position.

THE BAD: - It's a light and teeny little car, so the road noise is definitely present, especially when on highways. - With a 1.3L engine, it lacks the power that a bigger car gets (but it is very cheap to run). The Manual transmission definitely helps with taking off. The air conditioner on/off button serves as the turbo button. - The car is tall, but not long. Back seats are a little pokey to sit in. - The turning circle is surprisingly wide for such a small wheel span; doing a U-turn on some narrower streets requires a 3-point turn. - It's been a popular second-hand car for this vintage, but in more recent years, sourcing some parts has become harder as the car becomes less common.

The safety features are awesome compared a 15 year old Toyota Corolla I drove previously, which was bullet proof. Has 10 airbags. The fit and finish are typical Toyota levels. The safety features are not intrusive. Just right. Decent boot size. Negatives. Expensive and no rear seat vents. This is nasty cost cutting. of what's in the tank; even after a fill-up to nearly overflowing, it will read 400 or so klm to refill. The fuel gauge does not move at the rate at which fuel is used. The Bluelink feature sends inaccurate information to my phone. When the car is turned off and locked, the taillights stay on, so when you have walked away, you get a message about that issue on my phone, meaning a walk back to the car. And now the lights on the dashboard have gone dull, so visibility is low. I do not live near the dealer, but I will inform them of these issues. Oh, and I forgot I find it hard to set the cruise control at the start of a trip whilst driving, too much time is taken with eyes off the road to get it set.

low on the road, and to get into, even though it was a dream to drive. Decided to go "local" for my next car and obvs wanted a higher ground clearance one...I got the Pure from Medlow Bath Mazda as it had everything I really wanted. No separate climate control, but I could live without that! It works perfectly, is very smooth and quiet on the road, the technology works well (although the voice control is not as good as Toyota's and needs a few extra commands) and is reasonable on petrol use. I had initially wanted a hybrid because they're whisper-quiet and they do double the distance before tank refill, but I since discovered that the batteries have a finite lifespan and are very costly to replace - so I was quite happy to go back to petrol! This is a perfect sized car for me, not too small and not too big. The only drawback is the low-set passenger seat, but it doesn't really affect me.

GWM ADELAIDE CITY DEALERSHIP. I brought in my vehicle Haval H9 Ultra in on April 2025 for a regular service under warranty, its now January 2026… Read more

and I still do not have my vehicle - it's still at your dealership!!!!

Why haven't the services been completed correctly and accurately - causing me to return my vehicle over 21 times in the past ? (Oil leaks, tyre pressure sensors, engine problems etc), leaving me without a vehicle for months and having to pay out of pocket expenses for Uber and rental cars ?

Why hasn't the dealership taken responsibility when the manager demanded in writing (text messages) that payment must be paid in full after work hours prior to services started ?

Why hasn't the dealership acknowledged that a full diagnosis (in writing) that was requested multiple times prior to any repairs being commenced - instead of commencing unauthorised repairs without my legal consent or acknowledgement ?

Why hasn't the dealership acknowledged the verbal abuse and harassment daily multiple phone calls (within a 2 minute span) by the manager be acknowledged which was provided to you ?

Why hasn't the dealership responded to: - Legal Letter of Demand on 1/10/2025 at 11:47am - Letter of Legal Proceedings on 27/10/2025 at 8:53am - Follow up final email letter 6/01/2026 at 4:44pm

You have breached Australian Consumer Law as outlined in the emails, and as you are fully aware all of the factual evidence (screenshots) have been forwarded to you.

Again, for clarity - you still have my vehicle at your dealership since April 2025 without any response, resolution or accepting responsibility.

You are fully aware of this as you have been provided all the factual evidence via emails.

To the buyers looking at purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and using them for services - simply don't!

There is a reason why many, many consumers have had similar issues and concerns like myself, its all publicly available, just search it on google and Facebook.

No clarity on:

- What services were completed? - What diagnosis was made? - Is the car roadworthy? - Why has it taken 9 months (as of current) for a service to be completed? - Is it acceptable to be left many months (multiple times) without a car and declining me a loan car, to which I had to use Uber and rental cars? - Why hasn't services completed correctly and accurately multiple times (major oil leaks, faulty tyre pressure sensors, engine problems etc) ? - Why did the service manager demand payment to made in full (after work hours) verbally and in SMS for a service that was not diagnosed or started? - Why was authorised repairs without a diagnosis or my consent made? - Blocking me on Facebook? - Declining to reply to multiple legal letters provided to you? - The repeated daily multiple harassment phone calls (within a 2 minute span) by the service manager (provided to you) be acknowledged ?

Again as stated in previous emails - under Australian Consumer Law - I rejected the vehicle in writing (multiple times) due to major failures, services not being completed correctly many times, many months without a vehicle causing me severe financial stress as I had to use Uber and Rental cars, unauthorised repairs without my knowledge or consent; to name a few.

For clarity, all of these concerns were made to you in writing multiple times without a response. Looking forward to your response.

Update 18/3/26 - still no car since April 2025! No resolution offered, no concerns acknowledged. Still no response from Legal letters from October 2025.

Section 54: Failure to provide goods of acceptable quality. Section 55: Failure to ensure goods are reasonably fit for purpose. Section 59: Failure to honour express warranties. Section 62: Failure to carry out services within a reasonable time frame. Sections 21 and 50: Engaging in harassing or coercive conduct.

• 12 November 2025: Our Nissan Juke was booked in for a routine service with no existing issues or concerns. The vehicle was serviced and returned to us the same day. • While driving home immediately after the service, warning messages appeared on the dashboard: o “System Fault” o “Engine Malfunction – Power Reduced – Service Now” • We contacted the dealership straight away and returned the car to Berwick Nissan on the same day. • The dealership was unable to identify or fix the issue. Despite repeated phone calls and visits, we received little to no communication or updates. • After persistent follow-ups, the vehicle was finally returned to us on 19 December 2025. • Unfortunately, the same engine malfunction warnings reappeared again, indicating the issue was not resolved. • The vehicle was returned to the dealership once more on 30 December 2025, where the Service Manager assured us the matter would be handled urgently.

As of today ( 20th Jan,2026 ) , we are still waiting for our vehicle to be repaired and deemed safe to drive.

in town and on longer country drives; its oomph - I was pleasantly surprised by its get up and go; the efficiency of it - great around town (5.2), higher on longer freeway drives (6.5), and finally the size - I am 2m tall and the room inside was great. The less positive side of things were: the plastic steering wheel (admittedly I drove the entry level model but it was a little rough to hand); the oppressively dark headlining - the ceiling was dark grey and the cabin felt a little oppressive, and finally the adaptive cruise control had an annoying habit of slowing down by about 5 km/h whenever I went around a corner, regardless of the severity of the corner. I couldn't turn this function off and as a consequence I accelerated into corners! Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would be tempted to upgrade to one.

I must have bought a Monday Car. The build quality and customer service has been the worst of all new cars I have purchased. Received car with tire… Read more

pressures set to maximum tire pressure rating (51PSI). The TPMS produced a 'flat tire' alarm when I reduced the pressures to recommended settings. Audi service centre said the car must've been hot. I had only driven it ~2km from my house to the petrol station... Within 2 months of purchase, the driver sunshade vanity mirror cracked because it touches the ceiling vanity light when you the sunshade is closed against the ceiling. Audi said this was not in warranty. After 6 months, I complained that the clutch operation was very noisy and demonstrated to an Audi mechanic on a test drive that it is extremely noisy under certain conditions (like hill starts). Audi checked the calibration and said this model is known for its noisy clutch. Not satisfied, I returned a few months later to have it checked again. The Audi mechanic said that the clutch was noisy because I had basic sound damping material in my cheap model fully optioned Q3 TFSI 40 (?). I gave up after that. After 12 months, the left-rear-wheel was showing excess brake dust. After reporting this at each service, finally at the 36 month service, Audi acknowledged the brake pads were excessively worn and that the brake piston was sticking. And, by the way, asked me to pay for the worn brake pads. After 12 months, the instrument cluster or MMI intermittently do not turn on when starting a trip. This lasts until the car is turned off and on again. At the 24 and 36 month services, Audi acknowledged this as a common problem for which "..there is currently not a solution.." After 24 months, the electric tailgate lock stuck closed. Audi replaced the electric tailgate lock under warranty. Currently struggling with front-right suspension that squeaks every time you go over a curb with the front-right wheel first. Audi could not determine anything wrong. This Q3 chews the front-left tire (outside edge). The front-left tire last ~10,000km. Never experienced this short life - this is our 4th AWD SUV. Wheel alignment has not been out of tolerance when checked.

The Car I Never Wanted – On 21 Sept 2023, I picked up a brand new leased Peugeot 3008 from the Car 2 Europe Depot in Amsterdam. This was not the car that I originally… Read more

ordered, but the Peugeot 308, that had served us well on 6 previous trips to Europe, was apparantly unavailable due to shortages of parts needed for their manufacture, so the 3008 was sustituted. It was not the car I wanted, because it was much wider and unsuitable for the narrow country roads I had intended to traverse on my 6 week road trip from Amsterdam to Paris.

Despite some near misses on the narrow country roads, we finally arrived in Bourges, France, only 4 nights away from the end of the trip. That evening I went to the car to put something into our suitcases which were secured in the car out of sight. On lifting the back door and closing it again I had apparently unlocked every door on the car. (This does not happen with my own 2018 Volkswagon SW or my partner's 2020 Mazda 2 Sedan). On closing the tailgate of the 3008, the car remained unlocked and I was totally unaware of this security breach.

The next morning to my horror, our two suitcases were gone along with hundreds of dollars worth of clothes and personal effects. The stars had aligned for an enterprising thief who just happend to be passing in the night and on noticing the mirrors extended, saw an opportunity too good to pass up.

On arrival at the Paris drop-off point, I reported the matter to the staff who said that the car should have locked itself when the driver walks away with the keys. On testing this feature, it failed to operate just like it did 3 nights earlier. He recorded this on my receipt so that I could follow up with Peugeot on return to Australia.

There is still some confusion about whether this 'walk away & lock' feature exists or not on the 3008. However, the fact that opening the tailgate unlocks the whole car is, in my opinion, a major design flaw that doesn't exist on many other cars that are older and of lesser value. Why Peugeot did not consider this to be something important is inexplicable and it should be rectified in the next model. Modern cars often come with features that compensate for human error, but not the Peugeot 3008. By design, it unlocks the whole car for you, thus compromising the security of your belongings, and should you get distracted and fail to relock it, or are unfamiliar with this quirk, it could be an expensive mistake. The 'walk away & lock' feature would compensate for the human error of not re-locking the car, but it would be simpler to isolate the tailgate from unlocking the whole car.

Peugeot does not see itself as being part of the problem in this instance. Instead, they victim blame. It's my fault for not re-locking the car. It's my fault for leaving something of value inside the car. The reality is that we've all done it at some time in the past and we rely on our car to keep our belongings safe and secure. We expect carmakers to incorporate the latest safety and security features in their cars, because you simply can't take all your bulky suitcases into a hotel every night and especially if you are Septuagenarians like myself and my partner. Trying to navigate hotels in old medieval buildings with only a narrow staircase and an overnight bag is hard enough, but with a large suitcase it is outright dangerous.

Peugeot have since offered me 300 Euros in what they call a 'Goodwill Guesture'. When the loss is much greater than that, the offer is an insult. The fact that they even offered me financial compensation implies that they see themselves as bearing some moral responsibility in this matter, but their offer just didn't meet my expectations. By playing 'hardball' and refusing to increase the offer, shows that they are using their power and influence to 'beat me into submission'.

In the end, I reluctantly accepted their offer, as I didn't have the resources to mount a legal challenge with no guarantee of success. However, I do have the power of the 'pen' to present my story as a warning that there are car makers out there like Peugeot who don't consider the safety of your material possessions as being important. Therefore, I urge you to seek out carmakers who do, when considering your next vehicle purchase. Regards Darryl

What a Lemon, DO NOT BUY a 2018 Ford Ecosport - Trend. Applied for Goodwill claim, rejected Ford DO NOT CARE, they are actually heartless and do not… Read more

live up to what they claim to be.

Bought it near new in 2020 then the ticking started under the hood, took it to Ford, no solution said it was normal, I don’t think so. Then mysterious warnings on the dash and the car refused to start, electrical and relay issues.

Low Oil Pressure warning on dash, now the engine needs to be replaced due to failed oil pump tensioner which has been well documented in Ford’s EcoSport recalls. Cost $10,790 AU. My VIN conveniently was not included in the recall.

Ford - Heartless and won’t take responsibility for badly designed cars. They will not give you reasons for their decisions, as they know you can’t do anything and will just go away, they can do what ever they want and you have no chance at compensation. It’s your fault the car is a lemon not Ford’s, what a joke.

Goodwill claim, don’t even bother. Pakenham and Berwick FORD as a customer I’ve never been treated so badly.

Overall, I enjoyed the acceleration, drive. It has excellent suspension. The visibility from inside at times is limited. I found the following points… Read more

anoying with this car:

1. Interior Console Glare The surface around the gear selector is highly reflective and produces significant glare in bright sunlight.

2. Electrical Lockout Issue The vehicle’s electrical system sporadically locks the ignition, preventing startup. Screenshots of the dashboard notification are available upon request.

3. Tight-Space Maneuverability The turning circle is too wide, making it difficult to steer in confined parking areas. I’m happy to provide additional details if needed.

4. Audio System Quality The sound system lacks clarity and definition, likely due to the use of lower-grade speakers

Our XC40 has been the best car we have had. Until now. A heavy rainstorm seems to have somehow flooded the interior of the car (even though we are… Read more

not in a flooded area and were parked on a hill), leaving the entirely electric control system to completely malfunction and become unusable. We had to have it towed away as we were unable to apply any kind of brakes through the electric panel, nor turn it off - even the manual shutdown option on the central display would not work. This could have been very dangerous if we had left it running on the street which was our only other option. Of course Volvo Roadside assist would not help us at all and kept referring us to insurance - even though this could potentially have been a life-threatening situation. We are so disappointed in this situation. We also had it serviced at Volvo less than 2 months ago. We now have to wait 8-12 weeks to have this fixed - and of course our insurance only covers rental cars for 2 weeks - so now need to pay for our own hire car for a minimum of 10 weeks because of this absolute shambles. A car not made for weather that is less than 2 years old? No thanks Volvo.

My mother has been having ongoing brake problems with her Ford Puma. Many attempts have been made to no avail. On December 30, 2024, my mother took… Read more

her Ford Puma in for its 45,000km/36-month service. Along with the regular service, she told them about two problems: - The car won't start each morning unless the key is right next to the start button. - The brakes make a squealing noise when driving forward and using them. The service team said they fixed these problems and told us to keep an eye on how the car runs. But the issues didn't go away. After I complained about the noise getting louder, we took the car back to Ford Warwick Farm on January 7, 2025. During this visit, the service team heard the brake noise on a test drive cleaned and put the brakes back on, and said the car was okay to use. They stated the key proximity is not a problem, but it still occurs every day. We were advised to be firmer with the brakes—a tip that's not practical or sensible. In just seven days, the squealing came back louder and happened when reversing, turning into a real nuisance. On February 19, 2025, we took the car back to Ford Warwick Farm once more. The service staff admitted the brakes still squealed, swapped them out as a 'goodwill' gesture, and said they'd fixed it. But three weeks later, the noise returned twice as loud and has not quit. It was mentioned, if we washed down the brakes with water to remove dust, the noise will no longer be present. Well, this is not entirely true. I moved the car into the driveway, removed the dust as best as I could, reversed the car back into the garage with no noise. Two hours later I drove from my house to Bankstown, took my family to the movies, reversed the car into the parking spot and low and behold, the noise was back. So, what is on the service docket is a flat out lie. 'No longer present' indicates that it should not happen again. I've email the complaints servicing department with attached papers from the service team, including notes from several service visits. They claim that the squealing is "as acceptable condition" as indicated on their service document but that just doesn't cut it. My mother and I haven't run into these problems with other car brands, which makes this Ford experience extra frustrating since it's my mom's first Ford. This ongoing headache doesn't look good for the company's build quality or customer service. It's caused us stress, hassle, and embarrassment. I asked Ford Australia to step up and solve these issues. We were advised by a Customer Experience Specialist that we will need to arrange a booking date with Ford dealership for further inspection of the brake issues. Around this time, we received a letter about a recall on her vehicle for another issue and booked this in together for 4/8/25. As this is an issue on Ford's side, we requested a loan car and was promised over the phone by someone in Ford Servicing. My mother also received a phone call on 23/7/25, confirming that she would receive one. But on Tuesday 4th August, she had taken the car in, asked about the loan car and they are claiming that no loan car was requested. (Hence our frustration even more). I spoke to a woman named [Name Removed] in servicing while my mother was there and she promised my mother that she would be receiving a small loan car tomorrow. The following day, Wednesday 5th August, my mother returned her car again, asked about the loan car that was promised and was straight away denied. They said there was nothing in the system stating she was receiving a loan car. The gentleman [Name Removed] assisting my mother, went to look for a loan car but came back with a car that my mother felt very uncomfortable with and unsure how to operate. Every time I email the FORD complaints department they somehow keep avoiding the issue and ask me st>pid questions and try to throw things in our faces without doing their due diligence. I can't believe the amount of disrespect and unprofessionalism that FORD has been. Why is it hard to accept responsibility? FORD is a joke and treat their customers very poorly. This is still ongoing and their willingness to address the issue with her car brakes has affected our mental wellbeing. Shame on you FORD. The latest saga to this, we had to book in my mother's car for a recall issue and brought up the brake problem......well let's just say, instead of wanting to help or accept their responsibility, the service guys suggestion ([Name Removed]) was to palm this problem off to another Ford service centre. Good on ya mate, way to solve a problem. It just goes to show the level of quality service delivered by Ford and their staff.
