from scammers. After no genuine enquiry via Carsales, I decided to also list on FB Marketplace and sold my car within 24 hours with multiple enquiries received. This Carsales platform is horribly expensive and clunky to use. Don’t waste your money on Carsales. A blatant rip off when there are free platforms available that clearly get better exposure and genuine enquiry. A very disappointing experience.

and could not be revived causing the car to become stranded and insecure, thankfully on the driveway: All that had lead to the failure was setting up the personal info into the damned system: phone, driver preferences, basics! This required the ignition to be on, but no engine running. A/C off windows down, hot day...well, dear punters, the car was dead. I managed to buy a new battery and fitted it, and all was good, but the taint was there... In the days that followed, I noted defects on the body- minor blemishes that had not been recorded in the images of the vehicle on the rotunda. I also noted the state of the engine bay- leaf litter and other organic debris. after a week or so, I received a survey prompt and delivered my verdict only to received a limp wristed response from someone up the chain...incredulity and slithery charm- "this can not be, sir...the battery was perfect when it was collected...", yes, the car was running, but the battery was, according to research at end of life despite the Carma protestations that a stop-start battery is good for many years...give me strength, they're as bad as real estate agents in shiny suits and ready smiles. I was a reminded of the gentleman outfitters: "its a good fit Sir, fits like a glove... sticks out in five places! Avoid, avoid, avoid.

had paid a $2000 deposit. I asked multiple times for an invoice from the "Dealer" to forward to my accountant. Which should also disclose commission paid to Private Fleet! I was sent a Private Fleet Invoice (Twice), when I called and spoke to the manager (before even mentioning why I called), he said they are still waiting for the invoice from the Car Dealer? And yet Finance through Private Fleet was ready to go as they knew all the figures! (which would imply they would have had to have received it already) After questioning the situation, he advised they Do Not receive commission from the Dealers, So clearly the only way they make money on the Deal is to Actually buy the Car themselves and then to on sell it somehow? A Few things gave me a Bad feeling about Private Fleet that it prompted me to pull the pin, Non-Disclosure (appeared to be a deliberate attempt to not disclose the truth). Figures quoted over the Phone, e.g. Stamp Duty, buying from a Different State that were way off. Finance Department Falsifying income to get the Loan approved, no Income figures were ever mentioned, yet finance documents had a figure that would be double the actual Realistic estimate earning for a Tradie! Thankfully I Received a refund after pointing out their dishonest business practices, and mentioning I had spoken to Fair Trading. This is my personal experience, as an Individual looking to buy a car. Your experience maybe different. Cheers

respectful treated and assisted with our ultimate decision to purchase this little gem. Only time will tell wether this car will be a pleasure to own or cost squillions over time. I believe that this car will be a nice little car that will give us the minimum of fuss. Even new cars can be troublesome so there are never any guarantees. So in closing we thank Korban, Robert, Nick and all of the team and wish them all the best in the future. Clive and Angela

warranty and under 100,000 km. That concern was largely ignored at the initial service.
After pickup, I had to insist on another test drive with a technician. When this finally happened days later, I clearly demonstrated the issue the transmission is extremely jerky and can’t decide whether to downshift or not.
What followed was a series of incorrect diagnoses: first engine mounts, then a torque converter. I waited over a month for parts. None of these “repairs” fixed the problem in fact, the issue became worse. This was clearly not an easy or minor fix, yet it was never properly investigated or escalated while the car was still under warranty.
Now that the warranty has expired, I’m being told the transmission needs to be replaced at my own cost, even though the fault was reported well within the warranty period.
To make matters worse, after posting a Google review, an advisor responded with incorrect information, claiming this is a “totally different issue” that had already been addressed. That is simply not true. The problem has been the same from the beginning, was repeatedly “attempted” to be fixed, and never resolved. That public response only makes the situation look worse and comes across as defensive, misleading, and highly unprofessional.
Overall, this feels like poor diagnosis, wasted time, unnecessary delays, and doing the bare minimum until the warranty conveniently expired. One of the worst dealership experiences I’ve had.

After that they told me to go to the nearest rent a car company to exchange the car, when I got there they wanted me to pay another deposit. When I returned the car they refused to return the deposit claiming it was my fault. So now they will receive the insurance money that I paid plus the €200 deposit. They deliver cars in poor condition, show no concern for the customer and are rude when it suits them.

Unsolicited emails are frustrating, time-wasting, and create a lack of trust in the brand. Opt-out should not be the first interaction a customer has with a service they never asked for. If you are going to share data across platforms, at least be transparent and ask for clear consent first. Until then, I can’t recommend Trucksales due to spam-like email behaviour.

resolve their mistakes. Days later, the price of the car dropped significantly, and GoodCar refused to adjust the price or offer a reasonable return option. They were happy to honour the 7-day return policy but wanted to charge me over +$3,000 in fees (including paying to return to Melbourne, despite having car depots nearer in Sydney), essentially eliminating any benefit of returning it. This felt like a deliberate attempt to deter me from exercising my consumer rights.
GoodCar's lack of accountability throughout this handover and following was appalling. They never once proactively offered compensation for the inconvenience caused or acknowledged the significant drop in the car's value due to their pricing decisions. I am now reporting them to the ACCC and strongly advise against buying from GoodCar.

Get another email later the same day saying he has seen my Facebook reply and has cancelled my opportunity to sell with them and wants my baby and bank account details to refund my money. I state very clearly the money needs to be refunded the same way I paid as no one at collecting cars should have my bsb and account details. I email collectingcars.com in the UK direct several times before I finally get someone to action the issue. Rep is still not apologising or reflecting on his performance or behaviour, so would I recommend NO as customer service should be way better
