No help from Dometic 3 weeks out of warranty – I have a CFX375DZ. Three weeks out of warranty it has leaked all its gas somewhere in the wall of the fridge. Can’t be repaired and Dometic don’t want anything to do with it. Absolutely rubbish for a $2000 fridge. Show details

WOULDN'T BUY..SHORT TIME ITS LASTED – Brought from new in November 2019, so have had just over 4 years, well looked after, not bashed around, elderly owner and now it has lost its gas, electrical problems and have been told it will be approximatly $500/$600 to re-gas and fix electrical. Surely being a DOMETIC PRODUCT should have lasted longer than this. Show details

Works great. So far, so good – Have done 4 trips now and worked well. It is a big beast but holds everything. Prob uses a little more power than advised. Show details

Pathetic customer service – Emailed support as my new cfx 75dz does not work on dc power. I advised I was going off grid camping after Christmas. They did not have the courtesy to tell me that they were finishing for the year. I was asked to try a few things (none of which fixed the problem) I emailed advising this. When I got no response I rang the help line to hear a recording they had finished for the year. Boxing Day I’m going to buy an Engle.

Riddled with issues – Purchased in 2020 at Anaconda. Performed as it should for a year until it started fluctuating in temperature. Let it go as it wasn’t bad fluctuations. Then it progressively got worse to the point it would freeze one zone and not cool at all the other which resulted in loss of food. This happened twice. Sent in for repair in Clayton. Boys there… Read more

were great and got it sorted, but good luck trying to contact anyone if you want updates on progress. Having my food ruined and a unreliable fridge whilst out in the bush has left a sour taste and i can no longer trust it. Sold and got a Bushmans. Known for reliability

This is perfect for my wants and needs – Big Fan, good size fridge for campers/caravaners etc. Love that you can use it as a any combination of Fridge, Fridge Freezer or Freezer to suit your needs. Never missed a beat, its on a fridge slide in the back of our car for several years and have never had an issue, including crossing the nullabor several times. Run it off 240/12v car outlet… Read more

or our 75 amp Thumper battery which does the trick very nicely (solar recharge). It is a relatively big unit so may not suit smaller campers/trailers. Sorry to hear that some users have had issues but that is not the case with us, so far cant fault it. Also have an older model 80L which is still going a treat and would give it a similiar review

Worst fridge ever – If I could give 0 stars, I would. I brought a CFX75 Dometic fridge back in April 2019 and had nothing but issues with it. I tried to take it back to anaconda but they told me it was a warranty job. After 12 months of trying to get it fixed, it's still unreliable and still faulty. Multiple issues with the fridge, and I didn’t enjoy getting stuck… Read more

in the middle of the Simpson desert with a non working fridge. I tried to contact Dometic regarding the issues, and wanted a new fridge as mine was not working as it should. It got sent down to Dometic Melbourne and came back damaged, dent all over my fridge, and scratches. I rang again to complaint about the damage to the fridge. I spoke to Aden Williamson who started out great, but slowly became really rude and arrogant and wasn’t helpful at all. They told me via phone that they would replace my fridge with a brand new one, but now want to replace with a second hand fridge that has been fixed multiple times and won’t give me a warranty on the fridge. The way this man speaks to people via phone and email is horrible, and I wouldn’t recommend this brand to anyone. Im had two fridges from Dometic and both aren’t worth the money. The customer service is terrible. I would go with a better brand next time. Spend the extra money on a better fridge.

Why Waste Money Buying "Quality" Dometic – Purchased a new Dometic CFX 75DZW fridge in March. As Grey Nomads we spend a lot of time travelling and the freezer in the fridge in our new motor home is relatively small. Have used Waeco fridges for many years with no problems whatsoever (all over Australia). The 75 DZW met our needs of plenty of cold drinks capacity as well as a seperate… Read more

additional freezer compartment. Worked great for 2 weeks then an Error Code 33 "Compressor Failed to Start" occurred. Followed instructions and turned off for 5 minutes and restarted and worked again for 2 days. Has been switched off for a few weeks while at home. Started up a week ago as going away again tomorrow for a few months. Worked fine for 2 days and now continually faults to Error Code 33 on 12V operation. Is going to take 6 weeks to be looked at. We selected the Dometic over much cheaper brands as we wanted reliability. We should have saved our money and taken a punt with a cheaper brand or maybe even an Engel.

Customer service what a joke – Wifi doesn’t work. Can’t use remote app. Customer support unresponsive after several emails and Facebook contact. Go Engle instead. Very disappointed and won’t be recommending them to anyone. Engle will be my next purchase for camper Show details

Died within 12 months. Told it needs to be sent to QLD for 3 weeks for repair – I bought a Dometic Waeco CFX75 less that 12 months ago. Used for one camping trip and about 3 months running on 240V in the garage. It died running on 240V. It has been to a service centre for 2 weeks and they are now saying that it needs to be returned to QLD for fixing and this will take 2-3 weeks. No offer of a replacement, they clearly don't actually guarantee their product. $1400 waste of money - buy an Engel! Show details

1 star is the lowest I could give it – The fridge lasted 5 months before it developed a gas leak and stopped cooling completely. It took 7 weeks of fighting Dometic to get a new fridge. To pay $1400 for a fridge to last not even 6 months isn't acceptable. Maybe this one fridge was faulty, but would you trust it out west to not let you down, after it already has once? Absolutely not. So… Read more

when it does break in the middle of your trip and your food goes off, you then have to deal with terrible customer service. I'll never buy another Dometic product again.

Great size, looks good, low power – I’ve mounted mine on a custom built slide in the back of my Amarok. No dual batteries and just have it powered off the crank battery with the highest level of battery protection on. When I get home overnight I just plug in the 240v and walk away. The dual zone is perfect, I run the little one all the time as a fridge for work lunch etc, and turn… Read more

the second larger one on only when going away or picking up the groceries while at work. My only downsides is wifi connected means my phone can’t access data while connected to the fridge as it thinks it’s on wifi with no internet access... so perhaps this would have been better as a Bluetooth connection? And the second is the 4 security HO,d down bolts underneath are not documented for set out anywhere, had to turn the fridge upside down and measure them so I could drill out my fridge slide to suit. Finally the cages in the small section are annoying for me as one blocks access to the lower one, BUT, some people probably find this useful... It’s a great product so far, love it!

Don't waste your money – Having spent a lot on money on this you would expect it to work for more than 4 weeks before complete failure. Has only been used several times and not will not function at all. Brought it for my wife whilst she was in hospital as we needed a fridge & freezer to keep medication and also food yeh it has failed and cost us lots more on wasted… Read more

medication and food.

Was great when working but is now useless and we are expected to take it somewhere to get fixed which inst where we brought it from. Have been waiting a week for Dometic to reply to my email yet no response. I am expected to take a day off work to take it somewhere over 30 minutes away from where I live. I don't find this an acceptable solution.

Perfect fridge/freezer – This is our fourth Waeco unit over 10 years, and the best yet. I seriously cannot fault this one at all. We previously ran a dual zone 80 fridge/freezer Waeco which was great, but with only one lid the freezer section was continuously exposed and prone to icing up. This new unit solves that with a separate lid for each section. The unit is divided… Read more

into two, each with its own cooling capabilities. This means you can run either end as the fridge or freezer depending on your needs. The unit is also wi-fi capable, which means you can run the app and monitor and change the temp for each compartment from the driver’s seat-brilliant! This unit is the best!
