ACTUALLY DESERVES NEGATIVE STARS. I ordered specs on a Friday. Optically did not acknowledge or provide an order number for tracking until I chased them the following Wednesday. "order processing". Eventually I texted for an update (coincidentally the same day the goods arrived) and was told to wait 24-48hrs for an update that never happened. Even after delivery was received Optically tracking still showed "order processing". FAIL!
Optically also claim "Made in Sydney, directly at an Optical warehouse", yet the carriers tracking clearly shows my delivery originated in China. This is a clear breach of Australian Consumer Law. FAIL!
Optically further claim "After you have purchased your prescription glasses/sunglasses from us, we will send you an itemised invoice." This never happened so I cannot claim on my private health insurance and will likely have to pay full price for my order. FAIL!
The specs received were not in line with their inaccurate website description, so I asked to return them since Optically claim to "make sure that our customers are fully satisfied and contented with our service. However due to any reason, if the customer is unhappy with the glasses, we will exchange it without any complication. Optically offer 60 day unconditional return and one-time exchange policy for its privileged customers. You can contact us via email or call and ask for return. As soon as we receive your request for return, we will instantly proceed with the process." They didn't! They insisted that I provide photo proof that glasses were non-compliant. They still haven't provided a return address or courier contact details. FAIL!
When I tried to call, I received a text response "we'll call you back as soon as we can". 24hrs later, still nothing. FAIL!
So now, having delayed delivery, stuffed up the order, and failed to provide an invoice, even if Optically do replace my glasses, they cannot do so in time to meet the deadline for my health insurance, and I am out of pocket hundreds of $ because of their incompetence/lies. FAIL!

Given it was the Christmas/ New Year period - where everyone wants a break - Supriya stayed in contact to confirm delivery times and was most pleasant to deal with throughout the process!! What an asset Supriya is to your company - Professional, Customer focused, Great Communication, a really positive experience - and great lenses!! Stoked that I decided to relense my existing glasses, and stoked that with the result from Optically - Cheaper than getting new glasses and lenses and I can see again using my favorite glasses!! Good quality for a low price – The glasses did take a while to come but I’m very impressed. They’re better than the free ones I got from the health centre. They have a bit of weight to them which is good, they fit wonderfully and the lens is so clear I can’t tell I’m looking through glass and I can actually see better than I could with the free ones I got. Good value for $45
Suddenly increased quoted price due to no stock – I just saw email when they simply notified my that they dont have my glasses in stock so they need to get some from supplier and will be charging me an additional price. When I explained that I didnt want it they refunded the money.

I sent them some sunglasses to get reglazed. COVID obviously made a mess of their process - we're all in this, no problem - except that not once did they contact me to keep me updated, I had to contact them each time the next deadline passed. However the real problem was they made a mistake on the return address: at the time they didn't realise this and had simply "lost the package". They failed totally to accept responsibility for losing my glasses, and I ended up having to lodge a complaint with NSW Fair Trading. Shortly after that the misaddressed package turned up and an Optically staff member kindly hand-delivered them to my workplace, not far from their office, the one redeeming act in the whole saga to that point. The glasses were covered in dust and tiny white spots that took some effort with lens cleaner to remove (ref. photos; these are literally straight out of the bag they came in; the red circles show the white spots).

enquiry then either. Why have this facility online if no one actually answers these enquires? Sending an sms is not customer service either. A phone call with an apology & explanation is. Optically has a lot to improve upon with its non existent customer service. So I’ve resorted to writing another review to get their attention. I gave them the benefit of doubt but this is the second time my Contact Us enquiry hasn’t been answered. I certainly wouldn’t recommend Optically based on my customer service experiences or their products. I wanted to support an Australian company but have again returned to buying online from China (where I have never had a problem with buying multiple pairs of glasses over the years & delivery is within 10 days from ordering)

staff was difficult at best, eg no response to questions, messages that weren't responded to, or lack from staff (call centre?) that I spoke with. * Glasses arrived outside the delivery window...and the prescription was WRONG, not just by a small amount, but REALLY wrong where they make what little vision I have WORSE. I am unable to use the glasses. They look nice, they're lightweight...but totally unusable. * Consequently, I am relying on others to get me to and from oncology appointments etc while I wait for cataract surgery. The experience with Optically was completely demoralising.

We have paid for these glasses over 2 months ago, and even though we have been given assurances by Mike, don't know if that name is real or not, that they would be delivered, we have still haven't received them. Now we are not being responded to. Don't buy from these people as it looks like we have been scammed by Optically.
Follow-up · Finally received what we paid upfront for, and extremely happy with the quality of these frames and lenses. Considering the extra long wait time we are updating our original rating to a 4star, and would we purchase from them again? Probably, if we were prepared to wait.

again no emails and was told there was a quality issue with 1 pair so they were doing them again. I told them to just refund that pair and send me the other express post as they were now so late. Was told that they would charge me $19.90 to express post them. Not great customer service!!!! finally after they disputed paying it they agreed to send them. Then about 5 hours later called me back to say the other pair had been fixed so would be sending both pairs. Finally arrived only to find 1 pair are so out of focus they are not wearable. I don't think they fixed them at all but just didn't want to refund me so they just mailed them. Now I have to go through the hassle of sending them back and getting a refund. Will not use them again!!
Follow-up · I had to call 3 times to get my refund. Don't use this company. You are better off going to specsavers or I have used clearly.com.au before. They do take a few weeks but then this place did too in the end. At least I could wear the ones from clearly !

Weeks passed with no updates and no visible movement on the order. When we finally contacted support again, it seemed only then that action was taken. They apologised for the poor service and promised to upgrade my shipping to express — but that never happened. And despite confirming that the lenses would be remade as progressives, they still ended up shipping distance lenses.
Overall, the experience has been slow, frustrating, and filled with avoidable mistakes.
Ordered bifocals 5th June, it’s now 8th July and still waiting for them. Finally aus post says they will arrive 14th July. 5 weeks and no updates unless I text them. I’ve had no glasses for over a month. The prices are not all that cheap but the wait time and responses are absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this provider…
72 hour turnaround is a joke. I’ve been waiting 4 weeks now and still nothing . I called to complain and was told unless single lens the 72 hour turnaround doesn’t apply! That’s not in the advertising. I’m about ready to cancel.

lied to left right and center by both Mike and Supriya about why my glasses were taking so long. When they told me they had been sent all that was done was a label had been printed but not put in to Australia post. When the glasses arrived 3 weeks later (from the 72 hour dispatch) they were the wrong prescription (I uploaded the prescription and not typed it in). I took them to Kevin Paisley to have checked and they confirmed that the lenses were nowhere near my prescription at all. I would give zero stars if I could and will never use optically again even though they refunded my money I was left with useless glasses. I ended up getting them made at SpecSavers instead which I should have done from the start. A 72 hour dispatch took 3 weeks to arrive and were the wrong prescription. All I got was fake apologies. The reading glasses from the servo are better than these. I do not recommend this company at all unless you like being messed around and lied to. I will never use this service again.
I needed new lenses put into my frames quickly before an overseas trip. Tried called 3+ optometrists which all said it would take 2-3 weeks minimum. Found optically online and the lady I spoke to was so helpful. She told me she’d have it done in less than 2 weeks and they were ready in less than a week! Also it was half the price of doing it at Specsavers. I’ll only get my lenses done here now.
Extremely slow order. Waste of time – No tracking. No follow up. Said lens was in stock and the reading glasses should dispatch in 3 days. But that did not happen. The order came from overseas. Excuse? We made a mistake the lens not in stock. A standard 2 reader lens. Bait advertising so cheap glasses come from overseas but take over 30 days to arrive. Avoid this overseas company with the Sydney address.

confirmation and an idea of how long I would be waiting for the glasses. By this time I had read some less favourable reviews so i was concerned that I had put my trust and money in the wrong company. Fortunately, they did reply and while the turnaround time was longer than expected, we did receive the glasses. They seemed good quality and we were both happy. Unfortunately, less than a year on, my daughter was taking off her glasses and the arm snapped. it was a clean break and the frame itself was intact. I contacted Optically to request if i could purchase a spare arm. They responded to me very unhelpfully informing me that the frame i had purchased was out of stock and that due to her glasses no longer being in warranty, I would need to select a new pair of glasses at my own cost. They did not have the part or any spare part to assist in repairing her glasses. When I responded requesting an idea of the cost (unsure if they meant at full price or not) because it isn't something i can afford at this time, they didn't respond except to reiterate that they didn't have the spare part i needed. I am very disappointed in my dealings at this point. I would not purchase from them again.

Optical department at Cosco Dockland – This is the best place for you to make the new glasses. They have a lot of glasses frame with the best quality. They have optometrist to do eye exam for you with bulk bill. I made my glasses here since 2016 and very happy with their service. The glasses frame lasted akmost 8 years. I still used now.

I highly recommend you give Optically a try especially if your out of pocket expense from a local Opticians is higher than the complete cost by Optically.
Exceptional service – I had some sunglasses I wanted to put long distance lenses in & although I was a little sceptical to begin with I found the service I had with Mike exceptional, he was very attentive & explanatory to every email enquire I sent. My glasses were here in about 2 weeks & they are perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as I was very satisfied with the service I received

In summary: could not recommend. Although responsive and the lenses appearing to be of good quality, the tactics employed to evade responsibility, time and effort taken to resolve the issue along with general dysfunction, detracted from the positives.

Optically I did not seek any other quotes. I sent my frames and script to them and when they were returned to me I was absolutely thrilled! My 'new' specs were just as I had ordered and hoped for! I totally recommend Optically.
