Sick cat – After switching to this food that my vet recommended due to excessive itching around the face and ears my cat is now vomiting and diahrrea. I just pray that I can get her back on a different food as cats are finicky and their organs can shut down quickly. Don’t feed this crap unless you want to kill your cat! Show details

Quality Control problems = Large Vet bills – We recently received the a 48 can order. Each of the 24 can trays had damaged cans. One tray had 5 cans of the 24 unusable. The other tray had 14 cans unusable. I have counted cans with risen lids/bulges from inside pressure increases as well as substantial "dents" from what appears to be internal pressure decreases. Many of the cans were… Read more

on the inside of the trays, ruling out damage in transit.

Firstly, our previous feline z/d supplier told us they were dents in transit and safe to eat.

After a large vet bill, they are no longer our supplier.

Secondly, 5/24 is 21% ; and 14/24 is 58%, 19 on 48 is 40%. These are unacceptable failure rates on the cans.

Hills obviously has a quality control problem.

Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Low Allergen Feline – The contents of the Z/D feline wet food contains what looks like black mould spores on the inside of the tin and top of the food. This is very concerning especially for for allergic cats.

New improved feline zd food NOT so good – My 3 cats have always done well on zd, until the new improved version. Now they are all vomiting. Bring back the old version please. As Hill d/d is not available in Australia, options are few.

Wish I'd found earlier – My boy has a very sensitive tummy, could never put on weight, poo was always runny, not to mention the vomiting. This has been a god send, I was ecstatic when he did his first solid poo. his coat is gorgeous and shiny. It is a little expensive, but I can only imagine how much better he must feel, so it's worth every dollar to me

Amazing!!! – This is a great option for cats with stomach problems, skin conditions ect... Could not recommend anything better! Have been feeding it to our family cats, since then no diet related problems at all.

Excellent – We started buying the z/d canned and dry food after our vet advised that he suspected our cat's over grooming and itchy skin issues were related to food sensitivity, namely due to the amounts of preservatives and colours in most cat foods (even though we were buying a 'premium' cat food with no artificial colouring at the time). After just a week… Read more

on this food, our cat was completely changed!! No more bare patches of skin from licking his hair out, and no more scratching! It's been a godsend, even though it gets expensive feeding it to our 3 cats so the allergic one doesn't pick up something he shouldn't! Stops my cat from itching! Is a little expensive, works out to be about a little over $2.50 a can, but compared to other vet treatments and drugs, is not that much more than a can of food from the supermarket!
