focused heavily on add-ons and extras I had not requested. Ultimately, despite their heavy TV advertising, the final quote was the most expensive I received—double the price of the cheapest competitor and 30% higher than the next most expensive. For me, this process was a waste of time.

Absolutely the worst insurer I have ever known. My partner was with them for a building insurance policy since 2019 to 2024, which is a relatively long time. The property was rented out to a tenant. Youi refused to pay without providing a legitimate reason despite their PDS states the event is covered. When my partner took the PDS and asked Youi for clarification, they were unable to provide anything reasonable or logical. Their premium MAY be cheaper (using MAY as it probably is not always the case), but when you need to make a claim, it is virtually impossible. Be aware and stay away.

Ask and ye shall receive – As a pensioner I have to watch my outgoings, so an almost 30% increase in the premiums made me jump online and compare what's out there. When I called Youi they looked at updating information and my circumstances and came back with a premium I could afford and stay with the one insurer. The consultant was helpful, knowledgeable and sympathetic. I never write reviews but I'm happy to write this one. Show details

32% annual increase - Unjustified and exploitation of their loyal customers – Received my renewal for building insurance, with 32% increase. They then add solar panels that have always been installed to the home. Suddenly the current premium goes up by $50 too. They say contact the council to find out why insurance is 32% dearer. I am not in a flood prone area, on a hill and no known crime issues. Really Youi, I will now migrate all 6 policies to someone else.
