Expensive Oven that looks good but could find value elsewhere – We have used the oven for 3 years as of writing this review. The oven is reliable and produces superior results to other ovens I have in the house & have used over the years. The steam function is not perfect (have had issues with errors & use that were resolved with firmware update) and that aspect is probably the weakest link of this product. There is home connect app function that we haven't used. Seems too complicated Show details
Lots of faults and now unusable – I have Siemens cooktop, dishwasher, gas wok hub, main oven and steam oven - all purchased as part of a major kitchen upgrade just over 5 years ago. These are all top of the range products. The main oven had a major fault a few years ago and was replaced by Siemens under warranty. It had another minor fault that wa repaired by Siemens under… Read more
warranty about 6 months ago. It currently has an issue with the touch controls I am waiting on Siemens to fix.
The main issue is with the steam oven. It developed a major fault about a year ago which caused it to reset itself every time that the steam function is selected. Siemens initially send out a repair technician who replaced the main circuit boards to no avail. However, on his visit he noticed that the screw holding the top heating element in was loose and that there was a rusted hole where it should be screwed into. He indicated the whole oven would need to be replaced which I thought was fair enough.
Sometime later, I was contacted by Siemens to get original receipts. The kitchen company had long disappeared. As such, Siemens has declined to fix the oven or do any more to assist. Subsequently, the oven is now totally unusable with just a blank screen.
I find this very poor from Siemens who I had thought was a high end reputable supplier. I live alone and the ovens get minimal use - certainly not heavy use. It is disconcerting that I have had quite a few issues and now that Siemens (BSH Group) have basically wiped there hands of me. I have tried to negotiate in good faith for a mutually acceptable solution but to no avail.
As such, cannot recommend Siemens or any of their BSH group similar product lines - Neff and Bosch.
Terrible ovens avoid at all costs – This oven is not advisable- it only has one rack, and every time I take something out of the oven I burn myself because the trays do not slide in and out. Rather they need to be lifted, and placed in place - its terrible- we have always used siemens, but we are replacing it and never purchasing Siemens again. They did not allow my review on their website- so beware of the positive comments! Show details
Absolute overpriced junk – Terrible oven that is outperformed by models literally half it's price. I always need to extend cooking time as the oven sits 20-30 degrees below the set temperature. The attached photo shows a temperature probe at 162.5 degrees when the oven is set at 185 c, this has been verified by two other meat probes that indicate a similar variance in… Read more
temperature.
To top it off the touch screen has since started to only work intermittently making it difficult to change the temperature or cooking mode. When we booked a repair we were told that we need to be available for the entire day and they will text out a 3 hour timeframe 2 days prior. I was free all day besides 8:45 - 9:30am on the preferred day and they couldn't cater to making an appointment after 9:45am. Hardly the service you would expect from a premium brand and hard to understand given that most other service companies in Perth cater to bookings in a preferred time slot. Clearly a case of putting costs ahead of customer service. Instead we had to opt for a later date for the repair and keep plans free for the day.
Additionally the various menu selections which were the biggest attraction to buying this model of oven are a total waste of time. For example when you plug the Siemens temperature probe in, the options that are available for various 'Beef' cuts dissapear and you're left with 'Lamb', 'Pork' or 'Meat Loaf made from fresh minced meat'. Most of the things we've tried to cook aren't in the menu options or seem to cook better when you just follow known recipes rather than trusting the oven to cook it right.
Best advice I can offer is to do your research and take your money elsewhere. Our old oven died before we commenced our kitchen renovation and the plan was to fit the whole kitchen out with Siemens appliances including a second oven when we renovate but after the experience so far, I think we'll go with another brand and replace this oven when we upgrade the kitchen next year.
Customer service is abysmal – Had a suite of Siemens ovens and warming drawer installed in new kitchen in 2017. The microwave function died in 2019 and was repaired under warranty.....eventually. Microwave function died again in December 2020 and had difficulty getting Siemens to respond while they contemplated their strategy eventually deciding late January after repeated… Read more
phone calls to replace the unit but with the replacement being the current model with a different appearance which would spoil our suite. Accepted their offer of also replacing the pyrolytic oven at a discount but have not heard from them in the last 2 weeks. 2 months and still no resolution equals very poor service in my mind
Good but NO – This is probably the best performing oven I've ever used, that I would NEVER buy. Currently living in a house with a full Siemens suite, 3 Siemens ovens, one with microwave, plate warmer, induction cooktop and dishwasher. The ovens cook really, really, well. I love cooking pizza and these actually get hot enough to get a really nice base,… Read more
which most ovens struggle to achieve (IMHO). The '4D hot air' mode cooks really evenly, top and bottom shelf. I've never liked induction but this cooktop is really good. Performance is great.
But, they are as annoying as hell. They all beep. A lot. The microwave gives a series of 3 loud beeps to let you know it is done, and repeats that 8 more times. The dishwasher gives a series of long slow beeps, which stop, and then repeat again some minutes later. I don't know how many times this happens, I've never been able to sit through without being annoyed, and going to open it.
Don't put the dishwasher on at night if you are a light sleeper. You'll be getting up to pander to your appliances.
I don't love the user interface either. If you are used to pressing '1 min' -> 'Start' to get your microwave going, you need to know this is more involved. Press 'On', choose temp using jog dial, scroll to time, adjust time with jog dial, press start. Its not a deal breaker like the beeps, but disappointing that it needs to be so convoluted to do something that a $75 Kmart microwave will do in 2 presses. Oh, then as you grab your food and walk away it beeps at you because you need to go back and turn it off.
They have great cleaning functions too, but you will probably need the manual.
The customer service is also rubbish, it took over a month to get a response from Siemens on this, where they said the beeps must stay.

Loving the steam oven – This is the first steam oven I have owned and I am really liking some of the features available. I have used the steam function many times steaming veggies, fish, dumplings and more. When reheating food I have found adding the steam doesn't dry the food out. I have yet to use some of the options on the menu (there are lots to choose from) but have… Read more · 1
mostly been successful with what I have tried, there are times I have needed to extend the cooking but that hasn't been anything too major. Anytime when using the steam function you do need to use the drying function afterwards, nothing too major but something to be mindful of. This is a smaller oven so I also like that don't have to heat a large oven for small items.
Even Cooking..Perfect steam – Submitting my review after 6 months of usage. Pros Cooking is always even with useful functions and many menu options to choose from. Rapid heat is being extremely useful and used most of the times. Steam cooking is awesome. Cons App not available in Australian app store Racks and rails are not dishwasher safe Show details · 1
Fiddly controls and uneven baking – I have used this oven for over three years and can honestly say it is the worst oven I have ever had. The oven is uneven, I just cooked a batch of fairy cakes and the front row were undercooked while the bag row were bordering on burnt. There is only one oven tray which means I have to cook the cakes in batches. There are a pile of big clunky… Read more

Miele exploding oven door forced us to purchase a new oven - so, so happy with our new Siemens – The oven has many highlights. Love how quickly the oven preheats. Food is heated and cooked evenly. The design of the oven fits in perfectly with the appliances around it. It is easy to keep clean. Show details
Just Love my new Oven – This oven looks so stylish and modern. It is so easy to use, cooks to perfection. It’s easy to keep clean and easy to operate. I would say this is the best Oven I have ever owned. I also purchased the combination Oven which is equally as good. So pleased I chose the Siemens brand. Show details · 1
A fantastic oven and pyrolytic cleaning is a dream – This oven was bought July 2018, just 18 months after a regretful on-line purchase, which taught us to properly research what features we wanted, make a list of "must haves", identify makes/models that fitted our list, and visit a showroom to properly inspect each model with the XL printout in hand. We narrowed the search down to 4 brands/models,… Read more · 1
and after an hour of checking the others out, we finally looked at the Siemens range. Adrian at Winning Appliances was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and understanding of what we were looking for within our budget. We had not even considered this model because it was out of our price range, however as the floor model was about to be replaced he offered it at an awesome price so we jumped at it.
The performance of the oven has been beyond our expectations. It's used 3-5 times a week and we do a full pyro clean every 2 months, which brings up the interior almost like new.
Things we love about it ... the smooth ball-bearing rails, the easy-to-clean trays (I clean them manually, not in the pyro cycle), the soft-close door, the 1deg C temp adjustment below 100C, the easy to navigate menu system, that it is able to keep the correct time (!), the interior light is at the front so you can easily see what's happening ... the list goes on.
We've used the steam function a few times but our style of cooking doesn't really lend itself to using steam, we think. That might change after we go to a cooking demo. It's been almost 12 months and frankly we haven't felt the need to attend a demo as the oven's performance has been so good and we are always delighted with the results.
This particular model has pyro-safe trays *and* rails, not all brands and models have these ... something to check if you want to pyro clean your trays.
This oven feels incredibly sturdy and solid, we think it should last at least as long as our old Smeg (23yrs).
mums best friend – LOVE my steamer - we got rid of the microwave because we didn't have the room but also don't like the idea of microwaves. We can do EVERYTHING with this steamer - defrost or reheat food and steam baby food so easily and quickly. Show details · 1

It's an oven...it cooks things – Seriously...there is really not much to say about the functionality of an oven. We bought it (along with its steam version sibling) as part of a kitchen renovation. It does everything its supposed to and is controlled by a large rotary knob that is used to select the myriad types of cooking you will be doing. With this control, heat can be… Read more · 3
directed around your cooking in numerous ways including whether fan force is required. I have certainly never found an issue with how it cooks. There are even settings for “Plate Warming” and “Pizza” along with all the others. It has a pyrolytic function for cleaning but being only a few moths old, I haven't found the need to use it (any messy cooking is contained in oven bags).
It has a quality feeling build (as it should for the price), soft touch closing door and comes with a confidence inspiring five year warranty. It has pleasant audible tones when starting and completing cooking and (as the title says), “It cooks things”.
There is really not much more to say about it except....
There are two somewhat annoying issues that are going to cause me to drop it from a five star rating to a four.
Annoying issue 1. It's a WiFi enabled oven....except it's not. Not in this country. When we attempted to enable its WiFi capabilities (we are a “techy” household), we found it required a phone app. However, the phone app is only available in certain regions and Australia is (at time of writing) not one of them. No app....no WiFi capability. I contacted Bosch (who handle Siemens in Australia). The customer support rep I spoke to wasn't even aware any of their ovens had WiFi ability. (The related steam oven we bought also has the WifI enabled sticker on it.) After being referred elsewhere, a Bosch representative confirmed that there would be no app available in 2019 and no plans at this stage for introduction anytime. I have referred this to our local consumer organisation as they agreed customers should be informed before purchase. It's not a deal breaker for us but it's not right to be selling an item with feature that cannot be used in this country.
Annoying issue 2. We get power blackouts which require you to reset date and time on the oven. Date resetting isn't too bad but to reset the time requires you to turn the knob constantly as you progress in one minute increments. This can require around three or more minutes of constant knob twirling. First world problem I hear you say? Yes...but wait to you have to do it each time the power resets. How much harder would it have been for Siemens to make it so it goes to five or more minute intervals like every other device with a similar system?
As I said, the above are not deal breakers but I felt I should point them out. Without those issues, I would certainly be awarding this oven the full five stars.
Cooks well but difficult to remove door panels for cleaning – The oven works very well cooks to perfection, controls are easy to use the 4D mode is excellent. A few crumbs have fallen between the door panels and we are finding it impossible to remove the door panels to clean. We followed the instructions in the book but still cannot remove the panels. Brilliant oven + microwave – This is the most advanced oven I've ever used. Very easy to use. Did came down to AEG vs Siemens for us, but Siemens seems to be a better built quality, the door felt much more solid. Was it worth the price? Too early to tell, but baking results are brilliant so far. UPDATE 27 March 2019: 6 months later, I have to update the review from 5 stars… Read more · 2
to 3 stars. The oven, when it works, it's brilliant. But it has not work 100% since I got it, I discovered the self cleaning function didn't work. I've had the service company 5 times (5 days) to fix (4 parts, 2 different companies)... In the end the service guy said he would contact the Siemens customer service with a recommendation to send me a new oven, since I've used a week of my annual leave to be home for Siemens to fix this. I'm sure Siemens have their best intentions to help their customers, but so far this process has gone far beyond what most people would consider a quality service. I'm still waiting (2 weeks later) for 'the next level' at Siemens to process my case. RRP $5500 oven, you should expect more. IKEA's Electrolux/AEG appliances also have 5 years warranty, and their support is first class compare to Siemens/Bosch.
UPDATE 26 April 2019: Bringing the review rating back to 5 of 5 stars. After a few more conversations with Siemens, the case was escalated to the top level of customer service, it was agreed to replace the oven with a new one.
Update 8 May 2019 To connect to WIFI and if you are a IOS (Iphone/ipad) user, just get an US iTunes account and download it there. It worked fine for me and now I have full access to update settings and remotely control the oven. Easy. Not sure why Siemens has not submitted this app to Australian Apple Appstore.
Siemens oven and service disgusting oven awful keeps breaking down when needing a service call takes – No totally disgusted with oven which keeps giving trouble service pathetic .... biggest mistake purchasing this oven !..... the computer front battle had broken down twice ..... to get some sought of service is absolutely impossible ... I blame Siemens and winnings for this lack of care .... could not make up my mind if I should purchase a Miele or this one A HUGE mistake ..... Show details
Gentleman who eventually came to fix oven polite and very helpful
A superior Oven – This oven is a marvel. My wife adores the simple interface and the speed with which it can reach the desired heat. It is all digital and an easy touch usability. The 4D mode is something I have not seen in an oven before and I would certainly recommend it for anyone. Very happy with this model. Show details · 1

door because the shelf arms come all the way out as far as the door, so it protects you also. I love how they become a grill also and have the steam option to keep food moist when cooking. Very stylish to look at, and customer service is awesome, they really look after you as I had to replace one oven. No hardship they asked me to try a few things first, when that didnt work they sent out the tradie to remove it, and they just ordered me a new one so within 2 weeks new oven in place. Happy customer.
High quality oven with Pyrolitic cleaning and 5 year warranty – Owned this oven now for two years. Cosmetically very modern and high quality appeal. Has worked flawlessly with no issues. Good range of heating/cooking options. The 4D hot air mode is a good all-rounder. Oven heats up very quickly. Cooking is even. The automatic cleaning is heaven, particularly after cooking a splattery, oily roast. Jif works… Read more · 1
well on the enamelled trays for any stains left behind. Soft close door is good. Improvements (Siemens, do you read these reviews?) include: buttons could be larger and more precise; round dial is OK but sometimes feels a bit wobbly; and timer works fine but I reckon usability could be improved. OK once you've worked it out, but one way is countdown timer to alarm and then switches oven off/the other way is countdown timer to alarm and NO oven switch off. The timer increments are different for both which can be confusing and fiddly. I have the oven installed at below-bench level because it was a retrofit. In a new kitchen I would definitely install it more towards eye-level as I think it would be easier to use and read the screen (probably like most other new ovens with a digital screen). Have not needed warranty support thankfully so I can't comment on Siemens service support. However the 5 year warranty is very reassuring. I had to deal with Miele for a dryer repair just after the 2 year warranty expired and that was not pleasant. Based on my experience I would definitely buy another Siemens oven.
Very disappointed in the cleanliness – I gave a 3 review only due to the ovens I purchased cook well. I purchased HB 673GOS1A and HR 676G8S2A My issue is the inside of both ovens mark , it is almost impossible to remove the marks. Cooks very well and fast – We bought this oven for pyro function but have yet to use it. Also got it since t's made in Germany and has a 5 year warranty. Compared to the one we had in our old apartment, this one is much much better. It's quite easy to use and has just the right functions for different cooking options. and how quick it cools down. It appears to cook evenly depending on what you cook and how you do it. That is, you need to select the correct cooking setting. Our previous oven heated the room up so much whereas this one cools down real quick and doesn't leave the room heated. Another plus is the soft close and the fact that you can touch the outside even when it's very hot in the inside. We haven't come across any issiws with cooking yet. Only issue we noticed from the beginning is that some Stains from cooking cannot be cleaned off the trays. Not sure if the pyro function would do the job but stain cannot be removed with washing and we don't want to scratch it.
An oven I have enjoyed cooking in – Cooks to perfection , times food correctly . By putting in whether it is a roast chicken , baking a fish to die for flourless orange cake :) lets just say my husband is extremely happy . I am no longer scared to attempt to cook new recipes The self cleaning option is amazing cleans perfectly Show details · 1

3 Ovens in one plus a 5 yr warranty – The oven is very good to use, still trying to work out the steam function. Winning Appliances offered free cooking classes. This is definitely a must do - the oven is very complicated. Bought it at Winning Appliances for $3,500. Was looking to replace a Miele which had blown after 12 years. Siemens was over $1,000 cheaper, had a 5yr warranty and had the steam function. Will provide an update after the classes when we learn more about it. Show details · 2
Love this oven – I bought this oven to match the steam shot oven also from Siemens that was already in our kitchen. chose the full size model over the 45cm combi as it was 2/3rds the price .
While the microwave is lower powered than most these days at only 900W and some foods take a little longer to cook, that's just a matter of getting used to using the oven and planning accordingly.
The combi function works well, great baked potatoes in their jackets in 30 mins (25 on combi and 5 on normal oven), speeds up all sorts of other cooking too. Menus are pretty useless in reality, for example the roast leg of lamb doesn't go up in size nearly enough for our big Aussie lambs so I've given up trying to use them and just cooked by time like in "the olden days".
The pyrolitic feature works perfectly/ I has an upside down caramel cake boil over with caramel burnt on everywhere. Ran full clean function (2 hours) and all it needed was of wipe the ash out with a damp cloth.
It's really good too for the racks, they are the same as the steam shot oven so racks and trays can go backwards and forwards at will (but trays can't be in when using it as a straight microwave).
The biggest gripe I have is that the single wheel to change the timer is very frustrating, it takes lots of effort to set lengthy cooking times. Ok for the oven functions and the temperatures but a pain in the proverbial for the timer. Whomever designed this never used it in real life.
Some good, some not so good – I have been using this for a few days now and I like the even cooking, and fast heat up times. I don't like that my door has little chips on the inside of the glass (service call booked), and that the thin oven trays warp and do not slide easily into the racks. Obviously I was meant to fork out extra for the pull out racks. For a premium product I… Read more
expected higher quality fittings. I also find the wheel frustrating to use, requiring lots of turning to set longer times. Using the timer can be confusing as if you press start/stop after setting your time it turns off the heating. I will need to follow the instructions carefully for a while to get used to it. water was pooling in the bottom of oven. i.e over a litre with red error code E5116, E5135 across the screen. Has taken Siemens again 2 months to replace.
3. Installed replacement oven today (25th Jan 2016). The replacement oven has the exact same error code and water pooling in the bottom. This is a major safety issue with water pooling and trickling 1cm from the fan.
4. Between the washing machine and oven I have spent hours on the end of their customer service line. Waiting.. waiting to speak to a customer service rep reading the same troubleshooting guide that I had from the product manual. Not to mention the electrical contractor fees involved installing and uninstalling. Unluckiest & most unhappy customer
5. Siemens (rep) advised they would be happy to replace oven with a different brand..ie Bosch or Neff as my faith in Siemens products is very low. Was advised a new range from Neff launching in March 2016.
6. April 2016, Contacted Siemens re - Neff products, they have decided, they can only offer me a refund - they also were unable to offer the upgrade Siemens product which was originally offered. They are now more concerned that I still have 2 ovens in my possession and still treating me like I am the problem customer.
7. May 2016. Many products from the Siemens IQ700 signature series range has surprisingly been reduced\discontinued (even though only just released in Aug). Siemens still pretending they have not had an issue with this model.
