Very disappointing experience with QBE. Despite holding an active policy and paying premiums, claims remain unsettled and the process has been unnecessarily prolonged with excessive investigations. repeated information requests has been frustrating and disruptive to business operations. Overall, the level of service and claims handling does not reflect the standards expected of a professional insurer or industry guidelines.

My business address wasnt listed, when i had to manually type it the site kept coming with an error and crashing. so i have had to use a temp address. There is no place to apply a postal address for paperwork that is different to the business address, there was no option to add a vehicle. Show details

Very simple and easy to obtain quote without any much of hassles and complicated questions and QBE offers quite good range of policy cover for small business insurance, incl. for sub-contractors. Just purchased and will start with them from 7 August 2025. For now 5 star for the process. And hopefully, I am happy with QBE so far and hope to stay with them for a long time! Show details ·  1

DO NOT GO WITH QBE- FOR YOUR BUSINESS OR ANYTHING! Bunch of liars - great at stall tactics – I have been genuinely unwell and had a workers compensation settlement and reached out to QBE to issue a document of settlement breakdowns to help me and they contstantly are delaying this. the 5th of April! QBE of course needs their own authority form and this was sent to them and yet still have not sent anything saying now they get another department to do it because they are just too lazy to do it themselves. I am unwell and have no income, under a lot of financial pressure yet I really do not know why these insurance companies do this to people.. Case managers just do not care. So disgusting..I have had enough but not I am not going to let these people bring me down

QBE - DISHONEST and UNDERHANDED chicanery – QBE needs a class actions bought against them. The biggest pack of outrageous liars I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Contact me for supporting evidence if suing them. As mentioned by another reviewer; they use Sedgwicks accessors. They also use Steamatic. In my case, both of these accessors admitted to "not qualified" to do the job. Show details

Don't bother calling them, they just hang up on you – Spent 2 hours on hold after them hanging up 3 times while on hold, then finally giving up. How are we meant to even cancel this insurance? We're writing a letter now. Show details

They destroyed my business – THEY DESTROYED MY BUSINESS We had a thriving, profitable law firm, with only 1 small paid claim in 8 years (much better than other law firms and I had even offered to repay it), with 24 staff, generating over £500,000 for charity, which I had built up through hard work over 8 years. QBE trampled our ambitions into the ground and forced us to liquidate over Christmas. Words cannot even begin to express how awful this has been for everyone.

Possibly Fraud – The absolute worst of insurance groups bordering and possibly committing fraud. After years of buying public liability insurance from this mob, I recently sent them an email to cancel before my next due payment date. showed I owed them a balance of $11.20. However, this was not correct.

I mailed them back and this is what they said on 7 Sep 2020

“ Please either provide another account or please feel free to give us a call and provide a credit card to us. This is not for money you owe us it is for a refunded amount for the unused portion of the premium we need to credit you.”

I wrote back and provided them with my bank details to deposit the money.

Today, 14 Sep 2020, I noticed that funds had been debuted from my account by QBE

I did not authorise this debut, I have no idea how they managed to withdraw this money from my account, and obviously I will contact my bank on 15 Sep 2020 to find out exactly how they managed to do this.

I do consider this fraud, and will take the matter further if need be.

I have written to them on 14 Sep 2020 and see if they reply.

I already did not trust this group due to their attempts to over sell, I know that insurance companies are notorious for money grabbing dishonesty, and thus has become a serious lesson.

QBE is a SCAM – Submitted my claim complete. 8 weeks later still not resolved. I pay my premiums on time every time but when I need them they just pass me to different people not able to resolve anything, no explanation just telling me to keep waiting! I'm looking for another insurer. Customer support and claims is just poor it's almost like a scam. Never again, QBE!

Insure with Suncorp – We've paid huge premiums to Qbe for years and were hit by Cyclone Debbie. Suncorp insured properties around us are back in business. 4 months after the cyclone, Qbe loss adjustor hasn't even got power re instated and it seems like another few months before we get close to opening. We've paid their premiums for several years...won't happen again...we're moving to Suncorp as we should have done years ago.....

August 9th 2017 Update:

Ratings of 1 and a bit out of 5 tells you something is badly wrong with Qbe. We spent some $40,000 in premiums with them until our first claim in 20 odd years. They are happy to take premiums but, when we were hit by a cyclone, our competitors insured with Suncorp are up and trading. Four months after the cyclone qbe, and their agents, still have proven incapable of restoring power to our rear building and are no closer to dealing with replacing our aircon units, still under warranty. Ours is a simple, low cost claim....less than qbe have keenly accepted in premiums. They simply don't care ....if you want an insurer who will look after your business in the event of a claim and minimise your losses, Qbe is definitely not for you.

Do not get QBE insurance if you want to claim – QBE continuously go back and forward with requests and use stalling tactics even after providing the information they required which is very unprofessional and have caused more stress to our family. Con Artists – These guys will do anything to knock your claim back - I had a fire on my business premises and after a three year battle with the courts and spending a hundred grand just to clear my name, these guys are pros never ever insure with QBE...Trust Me! They made up stories and hired private investigators and even lied about my financial position, just to get out of a claim! Premium Hungry
