Philips One Blade

I have the Philips OneBlade QP2530/20 and lost the charging cable. I ordered several replacement cables from AliExpress and not a single one worked. I shouldn’t have to hunt down such obscure cable...
Absolute trash, has to be the worst product I have ever owned. It is flimsy and the heads last 3 weeks in addition to very easily breaking and not being compatible with the supplied length heads. Phillips are a scam company and I will never buy a Phillips product again. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Takes 10 times longer for me to try and shave with this. Run over same hair many times before it cuts it. No good at all – Have to run over the hair multiple times before it cuts it. Show details

Shitbox face shaver – Don't believe the hype on YouTube. This is a rubbish electric face shaver. If you want a good face shaver I highly recommend the Schick hydro 5. I shaved with the Phillips one blade & had to use my Schick hydro 5 after. The sckick is way better & shaves more accurately, comfortably & the Schick blades last 6 month. They are also easier to clean. The Phillips is only an effective body shaver. Show details

Simple, fuss free – I bought this for both home use and, importantly, for travel. It works beautifully. It's not for blade-close smooth shaving, but is great for daily use or longer stubble shaves, either dry or with shaving foam. Its lightweight size is perfect for travel and it's far more convenient than the Braun shaver and so called "self-cleaning" station that takes up so much real estate on my bathroom bench. Great if you have sensitive skin – I can't use razors or electric razors as I get bad rash. I spent my whole adult like using the clipper blade on wahl beard trimmers. I saw this online and decided to try it out. The blade and attachment works really well. I mostly use this it on the 0.5 setting for the closest shave. Using the blade can sometimes cause irritation for me. The… Read more · 1
only things the unit can't do is get the mo under my nose so I have to take the attachment off and use the blade, and the blade can't square off sideburns, so I've kept the old wahl unit to do that.
Blades do need replacing but the battery life is outstanding and lasts a really long time before I need to bother charging it. Very happy with it and I just ask Santa for replacement blades in my stocking every Christmas!
Good for what it does, but not a close shave, blades don't last very long – These get rave reviews and while they are good, I don't think they quite live up to the hype. I've had one for a couple of years now and they're certainly convenient, and will give you an okay shave if you don't mind not getting a close/clean shave. But I do want a clean shave (otherwise what's the point, just get a trimmer and go for the stubble… Read more
look), and for that this is only good for a first pass - I find you still need to then use a foil shaver or a razor afterwards to get a properly shaven look without little black follicles being visible. I only really do it this way because I've already spent the money on the One Blade and because the foil shavers seem to give a closer shave after going over it that way first, but otherwise I probably wouldn't have spent the money and would have gone with something else instead. The other annoying thing is that with daily use, the blades don't last anywhere near as long as Philips claims they do - I'd say they only cut well for 2-4 weeks tops, then you either have to put up with it not working as well or fork out $25 for a new blade (ridiculous price for a flimsy little piece of plastic and metal, Philips is just trying to milk you for money here). Honestly I'm not super impressed with them, the convenience factor is about all they have going for them, maybe that and the battery life is decent). But I'm still looking to get something else because I'm tired of having to double up just to do one job.
Great Trimmer – Fortunately, stubble became acceptable in any situation. I decided to give the Philips One Blade a go, and its perfect, especially for traveling. No more messy shavers. The trimming attachments are great, 2mm on the neck and 4mm on the chin, quick and easy. Also great for all other "unwanted" hair. Show details
Better than I expected – I got this as I saw it and thought I’d give it a try. I have used electric and disposable. This will now be my go to razor. I like it. I’ve always had rash and cut issues. No issue with this one blade wet or dry and the foam. I like the closeness. It works for me. I am a random shaver. 3 days growth or 5 days or one day. So it seems to work. It may not be for anyone. I’ve recommended it to a relative with similar issues. Show details · 1
This is a beard trimmer, not a shaver – If you want to use this as a shaver, its pointless - but if you need something to accurately trim beards it may be very good. The product is all about application. Even Philips have backed away from calling it a shaver. Unfortunately I like a close shave, and GF bought this for me thinking it would make it easier to get rid of the "sandpaper".… Read more
This device can only produce sandpaper, not at all a clean shave so I'm a little bemused at guys who suggest it gives a clean shave - can only guess that some guys have never used a razor. It seems well made, lightweight and the open blade makes it easy to use (as a trimmer). The charging is a bit on the cheap-and-nasty side; slow, single led indicator, not a great run time. Sadly none of this matters to me since it's instant landfill, but your mileage may vary if you're a hedge trimmer or like a bit of lawn. UPDATE (after contact with Philips customer service) - the product is just as useless and I'm even less enthusiastic about the brand as customer service is token at best.

One of the best face shavers I’ve ever used – I never knew a a device like this could shave so close. I thought it would just trim but I was surprised. I never cut myself or burn my skin like with other electric shavers. I have a model where the length attachment is “all in one” using a spin dial to change lengths. I find this very difficult to use and would have purchased the seperate comb… Read more · 1
lengths if I new this.
And the replacement blades are a little expensive
Other than this the shaver is excellent
Good for quick clean shave – Good for quick clean shave, great value however the change of the blade is every 3 month not more than that. good packaging battery last long not noisy if you want to shave near zero this is the best in the market USB cable charger Show details
Very handy little shaver – Very good for a quick shave, but don't expect it to be as close as one of Philip's rotary models (or a blade for that matter.) A bit messy if you dry shave 3+ days of stubble, but wet shaving prevents much of the mess. Sounds a bit noisy compared to my rotary Philips (Sensotouch 3D RQ1260) but it's not objectionable at all. Happy to recommend this product. Show details · 1
Find out how Philips One Blade compares to other Men's Shavers / Razors
Know better, choose better.
Super razor – I wanted a razor which cuts pretty close to the skin with little chance of cutting my face and this one fits the bill perfectly. I use it to trim around my beard. It is great for getting awesome edges. It takes me about 1 minute with Philips One Blade. No cuts. No foam or gel required. Can see where I'm shaving. I love it. Show reply
An acceptable shave, great for a quick tidy up after 3 days growth – I bought this after seeing overseas reviews. It promised a good shave without cuts, and most importantly for me, no shaving bumps. Apparently electric shavers cause bumps. This product cuts close to the skin, but not as close as a blade or electric shaver. Therefore there is less skin irritation. Replacement blades are a bit pricey too, I got a… Read more
twin pack as well. Bought everything from my local Shaver Shop. The salesperson did explain that this won't produce a really close shave, and is intended to be used every other day, not daily. I'm trying various methods, such as wet shaving, shaving with foam, dry shaving, and shaving with oil. It's not super close, I can still feel stubble after using this, but hopefully it will eliminate my numerous shaving bumps. The shaver was $79, the blades were $39 for a twin pack or $25 for one.
I do find it useful for reducing 3-4 days worth of stubble. It can help you to look acceptable as opposed to looking clearly unshaven. The heads are a bit pricey too, a 4 pack from Amazon Australia is $66.25 as of 3/06/2024. I don't use this every day, so the heads last me ages. Unless you drop the complete shaver on hard bathroom floor tiles, then the heads can break and are then unusable. When used wet, the heads can get clogged with debris. Easily fixed by a quick scrub with a nailbrush, but dry shaving gives better results, as per the instructions.
There is also no indicator for low battery life, so there is the possibility of needing to use it but the battery is low or completely dead. Or it dies mid way through using it.
Also, if you have any skin irritations such as acne, ingrown hairs, or small scabs, this makes shaving a lot easier. The blade just glides over the problem areas.
