Have been told by a few motor is same as a Same engine as Nissan 350Z
Is this true and can you use all the same parts or just engine parts from a Nissan 350Z

I have an E51 that has only done 117,000 k's. After a highway trip and sitting for a couple of hours, it will blow smoke on start up for a very short time. This does not happen when driving in town. Engine drives great other than this issue. It has new plugs, PCV valve and has 2nd cats deleted. Could this be anything else other than Valve stem seals?
Is there a kit that you can make to operate the rear air conditioner of 240v or batteries without having the engine running
The air conditioning system is operated by a compressor that's belt driven from the engine, so engine off equals NO air conditioner. There is no way to thus run the compressor, either by AC or DC power

No engine light tho. 3:all stop lamps come on and stay on when I shift the car out of park. I've changed stop switch. cleaned abs sensors. checked fuses. checked ground's. new battery. Have scanned it only thing scanner says is stop lamps under abs codes on the scanner

Sounds lik you've a shot output sensor in the gearbox, not uncommon

Limp mode suggests output sensor in the gearbox has gone bad, not uncommon in this series

We have recently purchased a Nissan elgrand 2007. When we press the menu button only the Nissan logo appears. We have no options to connect to Bluetooth etc. Can this be solved?

Hi, I have a 2009 S3 Highway Star. My dvd player needs replacing, I need an FM extender and english conversion... I was told I can't put in a double din... Any help to get it all english and working? I know there are english conversion discs which is great but if my dvd player doesn't work I can't do it. All ideas welcome.
Wendy, there is a company in Clayton South Vic who can do a complete reprogram of your Elgrand system, and also extend your radio range. Last approx figure for the English conversion was around $1250, and just a range extension for the radio, about $100. You can buy an FM radio frequency extender from Sinergy Motorsports Adelaide ,easy to fit and around $40 plus postage. English conversion sticker kits for all the buttons are available online(eBay etc) . You might also have a CompactFlash socket which can store even more music,that will be under a black plastic oval shaped cover under the radio/DVD/CD unit. Some CDs will also record the songs to a hard drive that is built in to the vehicle depending which model you have. You can also buy cheap usb to HDMI/AVI converters that will run movies off your phone as well so check the internet forums for help there. The upshot of all this is that there is no need to spend thousands, possibly a hundred to hundred and fifty will set you up nicely !!
i have a 2013 model. I connect via bluetooth and have bluetooth connect to my favourite radio station and it automatically plays. I also have a conversion from Japanese to English from a company in New Zealand at NZ$299.

If you own it and can do the work yourself, parts are not expensive. If you're contemplating purchase, DON'T - walk away from it. These Elgrand's are bullet proof and travel a heap of kilometres before requiring repair/replacement
My 2006 Nissan Elgrand wouldn't start today? Radio and all the lights are working fine....?? When I try to start it, it doesn't really make any noise. Maybe one little click but very quiet

Never had cruise control on any of our five Elgrands, even the latest E51. Yours may be an after-market installation
I have it on mine and do you mean BA? I have worked out the cruise only works if you turn it on at 40mph and will error if you go above about 48mph. It can go down to about 30 but you have to get to 40 to turn it on. This is the stock system by the way. The adaptive cruise control I have also seems bizarre and I do not think works well at all.
