I've used Medela in the past, and the quality of mumilk is so low and cheap when compared to other pumps. This pump has lousy suction and is falling apart after 1.5 months. In hindsight, I never would have bought this pump. The box it comes in is also cheap looking. Pros: - portability - easy to wash pump parts - only five silicone parts. Easy… Read more

to assemble - on the quieter side

Cons: - this machine is absolutely terrible. The machine on top doesn't hold position impacting the suction - getting reduced pumped milk. I get 100ml over like 15 mins with mumilk. With my Medela I'd get 200ml in ten - poor suction - it's been 1.5 months and the pump face (pink plastic part) has already fallen off multiple times

Will be returning to my Medela pump :(

Amazing pump! The Ella – As a first time mum I’m sure most women can relate to how stressful your breastfeeding journey can be. I was basically glued to our couch for a month pumping every two hours with a hospital grade hand held pump, it was relentless and I honestly at one stage felt like giving up. I spent many hours looking up reviews of so many pumps and we came… Read more

across Mumilk- The Ella. I cannot tell you how much of a godsend this pump was. I felt like I could finally breathe again! It was amazing popping the pump into my bra and just getting about my day (well as much as you can with a newborn ha!) The suction is incredible, it’s easy to use and clean! I’ve been telling all my new mum friends to look into this pump and save themselves the hours upon hours I spent researching! Everytime I use it I express milk- I truly believe it’s helped keep my supply up! My only regret is not buying the gorgeous travel case with it!!

Thanks Mumilk for such a fabulous product!

Love my mumilk Ella – Absolutely amazing love my mumilk Ella!! I’ve purchased 2 and have been exclusively pumping from birth! Literally just chuck them in my bra and can walk around the house and do anything! I’ve even taken them on road trips they are amazing! Different suction levels and modes, they also automatically turn off after 20 minutes which is awesome because there have been a couple of times I’ve fallen asleep with them on! Haha Would 100% recommend!! Show details

Waste of money – Bought a pair to help me express for my premature baby but they did not work well at all. I tried the troubleshooting that the company recommended but it also didn't work. I even gave them to a friend who also has a newborn, who gave them back to me because they are useless. I really wanted to like this product and for it to work but it just doesn't. This pump saved my breastfeeding journey! – I am a first time mum and wanted to be open to breastfeeding from the beginning. I was never sure where my breastfeeding journey would take me, but knew that I would eventually need to purchase a pump. Sadly, mastitis, abscesses (not to mention countless ultrasounds and drains) and cysts in the first 2 months postpartum meant that I had to express… Read more

in order to provide breast milk for my baby (because I chose to wean from the act of breast feeding) - which was really important to me.

In the hospital I was forced to learn how to express with a Medela. I then had a friend loan me her Spectre. Both of these were excellent pumps with one big issue - I was stuck to a wall. As an independent woman, and also one that had just been linked up to IV antibiotics for a week - being plugged into the wall was so damaging to my mental health and so my husband helped me research a portable pump - and this is where Mumilk's Ella saved me!

I love the portability of the pumps and that I CHOOSE to sit down or happily move around doing things whilst expressing. There are five parts in total, including the motor and the four washable parts are easy to clean and sterilize. The suction is hospital grade and has allowed me to maintain a supply whilst weaning so that my baby can still have breast milk whilst she is mixed fed. I also really like the travel case that protects the pumps, which I choose to look at as an investment. And the customer service from the Mumilk team has been exceptional! I hope to be able to use these pumps for many months to come. Thank you so much.

Huge game changer – I was looking for a portable breast pump in preparation for my youngest as I've already have my hands full with two older children. I started using The Ella since getting home from the hospital, as my baby needed top ups every feed and I needed to boost my supply urgently. To my pleasant surprise, I managed to get an amazing output with The Ella -… Read more

something I could never achieve with a hospital-grade pump. The Ella is much more comfortable than the traditional double electric pumps I own and the portability is a huge game changer - I could multitask expressing and spending time with my older two at the same time.

Pump parts are easy to clean and assemble, and spare replacements are easily available at the Mumilk website - I always receive my spare parts within the day or two. Parts can also be disinfected with a UV steriliser, which is very convenient.

The Mumilk customer service has been amazing, I managed to get a minor issue resolved in no time. Couldn't recommend Mumilk enough, I wish I had The Ella with my first baby 8 years ago.

Life saver - 10/10 Ella breast pump! – Absolutely love my Ella breast pump that I’ve purchased a second! I used a Medela pump for the first week but it was very time consuming and restricting. Customer service has been incredible and postage got to me in less then 2 days - Win win! Will recommend to anyone looking for a breast pump!

Positive – Customer service is absolutely amazing! Always Quick replies. The Ella pump themselves are amazing for me! It’s been a game changer having these and returning to work. So happy with my Ella pump and the amazing customer service – I’ve been using my Ella pump for 4 months and could not live without it. The ease of being able to pump when driving, cooking, cleaning my teeth etc has been a saviour with my newborn and 4 year old. Within 15mins I usually have a decent enough milk collection ready for a feed and have not had to stop what I’m doing whilst pumping. It’s… Read more

comfortable to use and has been well worth the investment. I’ve used it at home and its compact size has made it easy to take on holidays as well. I feel the Ella is a reasonably priced pump without having to spend an absolute fortune and definitely delivers on what you need. Only thing I haven’t been able to do is hang the clothes on the line as if I do bend down too much the milk escapes from the top. What has also been extra amazing is the wonderful support and customer service via the team and online chat tool. Whenever I have had any questions, they’ve been available and helpful, plus it has been easy to order another round of parts when I needed them after about three months of excess use.

Poor quality and ineffective – Very poor suction quality and a cheaply made product. Bought it on a recommendation as I wanted a hands free pump, but the other pump brands I’ve tried - Medela, Tommee Tippee - are much more effective. Even when turned up the highest level, the suction power is so ineffective that it barely helps express milk. The parts and motor look to be of… Read more

cheap quality, yet the product commands a hefty price tag. You cannot return once opened, obviously for hygiene reasons, but you have no way of knowing its functionality, or lack thereof, without trying it, so it’s a financial gamble that didn’t pay off.

Easy to use and gives great milk output – I’m a big fan of these. I work in the baby sector so have tried out a number of different branded pumps but keep coming back to my Mumilk Ella pumps and only use these. pumping minutes on the screen. Also very easy to clean and put back together. Only constructive suggestion would be to include a stopper over the pouring hole at the top to avoid leakages if I bend over whilst wearing them. But overall these are great and I have recommended to my mum and bubs group too. Customer service is also good - if I’ve had a question they’ve come back to me with video how to’s / info

Amazing output in short time – I use both the Ella and a double pump from a different brand and the Ella is by far more productive. It’s made Pumping so much easier, especially when Bub is going off and you need to feed and Pump at the same time. Could not recommend more. Show details

Mum of 3 and in love with mumilk – I'm a mum of 3 and not new to breastfeeding. during my pregnancy I was worried about feeding and pumping so i bought the top of the line brand name pump. We successfully solely breastfed for the first 8weeks until we hit a bump in the road and bubs wasn't gaining weight. I was advised by a midwife to start pumping and give top ups I spent 3weeks… Read more

stressed and emotional using the pump I thought was a trusted pump and watched my supply drop barely got any milk and baby still wasn't gaining. It was late one night I found an ad for mumilk I looked it over and over and went with my gut. What intrigued me was the handsfree option and the smaller inserts it got me thinking was this my problem all these years not having the right size flange. So I thought if the pump didn't work maybe the flange inserts would work with my other pump anyway. So I ordered and waited for its arrival I literally waited at the doorstep the morning it was due for delivery. I ran inside unpacked it washed it and put it on I got 80mls on my first pump I broke down with happy tears knowing I had just found a miracle this was going to save our breastfeeding journey. It's been just over 2 weeks and my bub has gained 300g and I'm now working on getting my supply back up. For the first time ever I have two bags in the freezer. I solely use this and have since sold on my other pumps. I use this pump at least 6times a day. On average around 60ml a pump. I am able to be a mum whilst pumping to my other two children. I cook dinner, do school runs, washing dishes, folding laundry. Im able to be about whist pumping for my baby. I love how easy it is to clean and put together even during those long nights. It so convenient I put it together put it in my bra and away I go, no stress no hassles just the sound of milk pumping which is music to my ears. My kids love it too because mum can spend time with them not like the other pumps I've used. If your looking for a pump honestly from one mumma to another give this a go! Don't waste your time effort or money with other brands just buy this you won't be disappointed great customer service too which is always a positive when purchasing things online they were very prompt and very helpful!!

Great design – These pumps are a gamechanger. You pop them into a tight bra/crop top to do the work and you are pretty much hands-free and mobile - just keep your torso upright and don't move about frantically or else milk might splash out! terms of the amount of milk it expresses, the machine works well and you have different settings to choose from. Keeping in mind after a while, the parts may require changing; I express infrequently and at about the 7 months mark my pumps' performance started to play up, possibly requiring new parts (the motor is fine though). The Mumilk's customer service is excellent, they're fast to respond and helpful with troubleshooting.

Highly recommended for busy working mums - Completely hands free! – Awesome product that allows me to work in the office and collect milk for my baby for the next day! I collect a lot of milk with these, anywhere from 100ml - 180ml in a 20min session. Plus, I can do a few pumping sessions, before I need to recharge the motors - which I do at nighttime when I am breastfeeding bub. Purchased two and they fit well… Read more

inside my bra - best thing ever with zero cords, nothing to it just perfect for me and with two other small kids I can use both my hands when I use it on weekend its fabulous, can wash the dishes and cook a meal. So easy to use, and not super loud, plus it literally only has like 4 parts to clean. Also, I got the bundle pack, it's amazing so worth it!! I love the reusable milk pouches, defintely wanting more for my use and the dust covers for the pump are good, and the milk catchers are a bonus in the pack, not that I have really used them. The travel case is great too have too and I use it daily.

I did have an issue with one of the motors, where it wasn't performing as well as the other one, which I understand can happen with anything. However, I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. I send a msg on the live chat, they replied and said could I please compete a warranty form, and I did, I followed the instructions, and submitted a video of them side by side etc. I then received an email asking to confirm my home address wasn't different, and I did that, was then notified they are sending out a replacement motor, and to keep mine aside and I was honestly really happy that I received the replacement the next day, and I'm in Brisbane not Melbourne. Was a simple process, nothing else to add, except I wish I bought these when I had my first child, not third.... My mistake!

Very highly recommend the product for busy, working mums and after-sale service I received.

Don’t buy these useless pumps – These things are poorly design, I regret my purchase when first my nipples start hurting so much even in low settings, you can’t bend over because the motors fell out and they have a hole on the top that if you are not upright all the time the milk would leak out of it. what is the purpose of a wearable pump if you can’t do most things anyway? … Read more

specially taking care of your kids.

It’s so poorly design that when standing on a surface, they fall over all the time because the motors outweigh the rest of the pump thus pouring the milk out of it, the silicones stick to your skin so when you try to remove them, they come apart leaking the milk out AGAIN.

When I contacted the brand about my dissatisfaction, they basically said that it is what it is and they are very proud of their product. The reason they don’t fix these issues is because they use the generic Chinese ones and just rebrand them and re sell them, so if you must try them, buy the ones from Amazon that are literally the same ones for a portion of the price, I bought this ones thinking that I was getting product warranty but the way they respond to customer service is like not having any, so not worth the price at all BIGGEST REGRET!

WORST customer service & terrible product!!!! – Mumilk Breastpump review DO NOT trust this company; in my experience you will waste your money, time and lose your sanity when dealing with these passive-aggressive, nasty scammers. I’ve asked on multiple pages - and these complaints anbout Mumilk are COMMON! They delete negative reviews on their page and block you. I wishhhhhhh I’d read the… Read more

negative reviews on their page first, as I simply trusted a couple of people who recommended the pump and bought without thinking further, needing one quickly.

First pump simply stopped turning on. They said keep it and we’ll replace. They did and it was slow postage.

When it finally arrived, it worked for a number of weeks then the screen started turning off, not showing the digits properly. I took videos and told them and they said to send them back in and if both are faulty then they’ll refund, so I express posted them back.

They emailed me photos of inside the pump showing milk damage. I said that’s impossible I literally never have my pump in a way it could be damaged. It constantly is on my bedside table and my husband takes the parts upstairs to wash. They said it is what it is and they’ll post the parts back.

I got the parts today and the motor is one million billion trillion percent NOT my pump as proven by the photos.. like I’m laughing, because it’s so obviously an old, scuffed, well used pump and mine was brand spanking new with no scratches at all. I even have the videos as proof and attached the comparison pics for you to see how dirty and low Mumilk brand will go to discredit you. I feel abused and my milk dried up after this experience.

So I email them and they then just ignore me. I do an online chat and they said no that’s your pump and we’re not taking to you anymore and closed the chat. My husband did a chat and they said I’m not taking responsibility for myself!? They shut down his chat too. Very narcissistic and abusive, very horrible and upsetting experience.

I’m just so upset , I get really upset over unjust situations my heart hurts from the way they handed it, I did everything right and took great pride in looking after it, as it was so special to me when I never thought I could breastfeed and it’s my first and only baby :( I’m devastated my BF journey ended because they refused to be honourable and refund me.

Anyway I’m taking to consumer affairs and going to leave a review on their site soon, just wanted to share so others know what they’re like.

I’ve since suffered a heart Angina attack and will never, ever sotoo sharing this experience for as long as I live.

for my baby. This product was so unreliable, I had to give up on it entirely and go back to my Medela manual pump. The worst part is, their after sales support was dreadful. They flat out refuse to give a refund under any circumstance, instead they keep asking me troubleshooting questions and asking me to send more photos and videos (sometimes the same ones over and over again) and then asking me to try replacing each individual part to see if that solves the problem. This might be ok with a different product, but I really need a reliable pump NOW. By the time this issue is solved, I likely won't be breastfeeding anymore. seem sustainable…that was until I came across wearable pumps. Literally a life saver. I can’t express how much easier everything is now that I am able to hold baby, run after the toddler all whilst still pumping. I was also able to build up my supply so much quicker using the Ella because again, I was able to pump more often! I also really enjoy having the silicone milk storage containers, they were more handy than I expected as I now have an abundance of supply.

One thing I will say is, don’t bend over whilst pumping because the milk will come out the top of the pump, learn from my mistakes haha

Also I found the travel bag not so good? It is hard to hold as there is no handle, it also doesn’t have enough room to hold a bottle and it would be good if we could store the actual machine away from the wet pumping cups as I don’t want to damage the machines? The travel case is the only thing I don’t recommend!

Overall it’s super comfortable to use, even with bigger breast and it’s so easy to pack into a bag and take it out and about. I’ve found that Ella increased my supply a heap due to me being able to use it more often than the spectra!

A modern gem in the breast pump world – Purchased “The Ella” model by Mumilk a couple of months ago when my previous pump died after years of use. The Ella is a fantastic, hands free breast pump that is easy to use, charge and clean. The model is sold with a 24 or 27mm flange, but I purchased a few smaller ones as extras for my pump, as well as a dust cover and spare valve. To charge… Read more

before use is really easy as it comes with a cord and it’s USB-C, meaning it’s a really quick charge of approximately 2 hours or so.

To use the pump, once inserted correctly into a bra and positioned, you hit the power button and adjust the settings using the power button/up/down symbols. It has an LCD screen so you can view the time pumped, type of suction and level of suction.

To clean the pump parts is effortless as it only as four parts (if you exclude the extra flange insert) as you have the outer shell, flange, pump cover and valve.

Once you have pumped, it is very easy to collect the milk as there is a small hole which you can tip the milk out of straight into a bag or bottle. Also, when not in use, it can be stood up on its base without worrying that it will fall over.

My only negative is that you have to be very careful when handling the pump as the battery component easily comes loose from the rest of the parts if you aren’t careful.

This breast pump is ideal for the busy mum, who doesn’t have a lot of time to sit down and be confined by cords and large battery packs.
