I love my chair! – Super comfortable and even with the arms it fits easily under my desk. I got it in green and the colour is slightly lighter than pictured, mostly due to the way that they have styled the room behind the chair. If you like a supportive back, this chair probably isn’t for you, but I love to sit up naturally while I work and then lean back into the seat to think, so it works well for me. Show details

Stylish office chair – This is a beautiful chair, but it has no lumbar support and the most upright position has a significant lean. I really wanted to love it, but I wish it was more ergonomic. It isn't really suitable as an office chair in all day use. Also, koala packaging is noticeably less environmentally friendly and lower quality than my last purchase 18 months ago. Best comfort but not for long period – The chair is a bit tilted back and hence you cannot attain a straight posture while working … you can use a small pillow or a lumbar support to get that posture … once you attain that I guess it’s one of the best chair … Show details

Great chair but fabric easily dirty – Comfortable chair that looks great and feels even better. The only flaw is that the grey fabric stains easily and I had to get it professionally steam cleaned. It’d be great if koala made arm rest covers that were washable. Show details

Good office chair – I bought 2 of these chairs 6 months ago, they are comfortable and seem very well made. Took about 2 months for delivery although I was aware of a delay when I ordered. I was updated regularly about additional delays and they made good with me by offering some free merchandise. Would 100% recommend as a company who is customer focused.

that chair without a single complaint. But as I grow older (45) I become more discerning, because my body complains more now. Of late, my office chair has been giving me problems, so I thought it's time to upgrade. The office chair's foam cushions I feel started to age and were not as soft anymore. I also wanted more back support.

Enter the Koala Chair.

Appearance / Fit & Finish / Build - Like a burger in McDonalds, looks better on the menu than in your hand. The cushioned fabric has creases in some places, making it look second hand out of the box. The chair rocks slightly in its vertical locked position, which doesn't give confidence about the build. But otherwise it is a nice looking chair. The wheels move lightly. The chair is not heavy. Ultimately I have no problems and would be happy to have it in my home office.

Back support - this is good enough for me. I feel lower back support, which my old office chair was missing. Padding is plenty too. Even in a reclined position.

Posture - Even in the up right position you are slightly reclined. Which is fine because I have always had my chairs reclined all the way back. Which brings an issue here, the seat also tilts, so if your feet are positioned correctly (flat on the floor) in the upright position, they will now be off the ground. You probably need something to put under your feet. But most people don't work in the full reclined position like that.

Size - I'm 173cm, 80kg and the seat feels snug, the seating area cushion could be a bit bigger. (my office chair has a bigger seating area). I would say the size is perfect for smaller men, women and teens.

Comfort - Now this is an area for improvement. The back cushioning and support is perfect. But the seat cushion... sort of feels like you are sitting on a firm gym ball. The seat is convex and makes me feel like I am sliding off. I wish the seat area was bigger with deeper cushioning. After a few hours my bum really starts to hurt. I might be able to burn the midnight oil sitting in this chair, but I am not seeing the sunrise. It's not comfortable for 4+hour long sitting sessions for a 45 year old body like mine.

Arm rests - I like to tuck myself into the desk as much as possible so I was worried they would get in the way, but they are just small enough to not hit the desk and give my elbows some support.

Features - You can lock the chair in the upright position, but not in the reclined position, but that's ok because there is a tension screw that will adjust how easily the chair reclines and springs back up. If want to stay reclined you will need to have this loose so you don't feel like you are fighting the chair to stay reclined. You can rotate and the chair has nice wheels. 

Value - Even at the introductory price I would say it is probably slightly, tiny bit overpriced when compared to ikea chairs. Granted ikea wont deliver for free and won't offer to take it back after you used it for 120 days. So there is value in that.

Comfortable WFH Chair – I had been using an IKEA chair for some years and after a year of WFH, had planned to upgrade and the Virtue was the best option for me - the arm padding looked great and the comfort was appealing. it’s now a pleasure to sit down and get busy. Its no Herman Miller chair, but it brings it own for that WFH balance of an occasional chair/full-time chair with that luxe feel.
