1 ALLEN  · tastes very bad, the pieces are crumbled and a lot of oil.
1 Mardjaneh  · Disappointing – Tasted like cheap cornflakes..what has happened to kettles???? Trying to save the company a few dollars?
1 Pete  · Negative – Just tried the Vintage Cheddar and the overriding flavour is the added sugar
5 Kevin T  · Great tasting chip – Love the taste of kettle Bundaberg ginger beer chips very morish
1 Cannington  · Terrible – After one taste by my wife she asked why did I purchase Kakadu Plum and Australian Cheddar chips? After my taste they went directly to the bin.
1 Hendrik  · Oily potatoes – Flavoured oil with a bit of potato, that is what it tastes like.

I got a Kettle ridge cut chips pack 165g Salt & Vinegar at Woolies Jan2026. It was poor, tasted like a budget chip. The chip is too hard and the flavour is pedestrian not premium. It costs $6 but is probably only worth $1.80 - avoid at all costs, much better chip options out there. Show details

Kettle have changed their recipe and it’s not satisfying anymore. I’ve stopped buying them now. That home cooked, thick, old school crunch has been replaced by thinner lifeless chips. Very unsatisfying. I’ve moved on to Tyrell’s now. Sad to see Kettle fall off like this

Interesting taste! – I find these chips to have sort of Vegemite (yeast extract) kind of a flavour although in the ingredients there is no yeast extract mentioned. I would buy this product again!. Show details

Kakadu plum & Cheddar – Have bought Kettle Chips for 20 odd years, this is the first to make me write a review, actually tastes like aged cheddar. I've never tasted Kakadu Plum before, but like the subtle flavour, as close to the real thing, wouldn't know. As for people whinging ability size for price etc, you want a kilo for less right? As for me, happy to pay for quality, while enjoying the NRL GF. Show details

Very nasty like a strawberry donut with cheese – This has to be the worst combination of flavours ever to be combined. I know it’s an unusual flavour, to be honest I didn’t know what to expect, but the experience wasn’t at all pleasant. I’m not sure how this product has made it past the initial testing process Show details

Native flavour collection- Kakadu plum & Australian aged cheddar – Wanted to try the new Kakadu Plum & Australian Aged Cheddar crisps, tastes like Parmesan but worse more like vomit. Wasted the entire packet and will never buy again. Show details

They look less oily, which is a plus – But the cold hard fact of them is they taste cheap with a high price tag. I get the salted only as I need as little ingredients as possible. They have this powdery like feel in the mouth, which is reminiscent of lower grade. Hopefully I feel good after them, there’s a few brands out there where I’ll admit have made me puke. Since I can eat their sweet potato ones, these should be fine, but I guess we will see.

Foul....don't waste your money – Purchased the new Kakadu Plum & Australian Aged Cheddar crisps, the flavour is not pleasant with a strong flavour of plum. This combination just doesn't work. Several household members commented a resounding NO. Threw the entire 150g bag in the rubbish......inedible. Show details

Used to be my first choice – I used to be super in love with the Kettle Chilli chips until recently I just found out that the recipe might have been changed. I am very tolerant to spices but the batch I have got made me cough every time. I was never like that before. Made my other friends to try and they started cough upon the first bite! Show details

Quality gradually dropped - now just rubbish – Translucent paper thin, too oily, over salty - just rubbish. Best potato chips now in Australia are Tyrell's - leave the Kettle for dead. Slick marketing and claims by Kettle but just nasty stuff I guess in chase of profits. Show details

Used to be a Kettle addict!! – Kettle Chips have changed and don't have that home cooked thick crunch they used to. They aren't any different to the cheaper brands now and aren't worth paying the extra for. Such a shame. Show details

Kettle Chunky Red Hot Sauce chips – I have done a previous review raving about these chips. There was good heat in them, and they were great. No so much anymore. I don't know whether people have said they were too hot, so Kettle have toned them down, but now they're nothing. I have tried 4 pkts over the last couple of months, and they've all been the same. That's me gone.. Show details

Taste of oil – Kettle used to be rather great but I've noticed over the last few years their chips have become very oily in flavour. The last packet I bought will probably be my last as the oil was the strongest and made me feel rather ill afterwards. Also their Thick release chips swim in a pool of oil at the bottom of the bag and it's not the first time either. This time round it almost made me hurl tbh. Show details

Started Thick Finished Small – Okay when these chips first came out they were thick and firm - however the same packaged product is now pretty much like every other premium chip on the market, dissatisfied! Show details

Weight Issue – When buying Kettle Potato Chips, I have noticed that the weight differs between various flavours. Some are 135 grams, others are 150, 165, 175 and even 185, and all at the same price. One must be careful when choosing more expensive flavours.

Stop tryinf to appease the minority and bring back honey and ham – Majority of us eat ham and other pork products. Bring back hone and ham. Even aldi got rid of their honey and ham. We need to bring it back like we brought back chilli chips. Even then it doesnt taste the sameas it used to.

Disappointed – We have been buying Kettle Sea Salt chips for years and have become increasingly disappointed. The chips are thin and tasteless and are like every other cheap chip. This is the last packet we will buy.  Show details

Wet with oil – Recently purchased a pack of Crunchy chips expecting them to be superior to others given the smaller pack size but higher price. There was oil present in the bottom of the pack and many of chips were wet with oil and inedible. Quality control is quite obviously non existent. Show details

Kettle Chips – Just bought a pack of these (Kettle Chunky Chips range himalayan pink salt) for the 1st time being half price. It will also be the last time I buy these. For starters, how does the ACCC continue to allow food manufactures like Kettle get away with misleading images on their packaging that influence you to buy their product? The image on the packet… Read more

shows chips that are twice the thickness of the chips that are inside and they also look very different colour/texture wise to what you find inside. They were very greasy and the cooking process was not even and there was a big variation of crunch, salt and oil in the chips. Save your money and buy the Coles variety which is only a bit thinner but has a more even cooking process and a nicer flavour too.

ABSOLUTE FAIL @ $30KG – yep folks, that's what we are paying for these very ordinary so called gourmet chips that's are full of oil, fat and salt. eat one pack per week and there's a good chance you will gain 1kg per month in weight. Show details

Kettle has changed for the worse – What has happened to the glassy, thick crunch of kettle chips? If I wanted budget, Thins style chips, then I would pay the cheaper price for substandard chips. Who is the idiot, bean counting, executive who came up with this cost cutting decision? Its Tyrells chips for me from now on. Kettles name is trash now. Show details

Super crunchy, great tasting but needs heavier seasoning (CAMEMBERT & FIG) – Camembert & Fig chips feel very satisfying to bite into, the crunch is strong and fresh (whereas Smith's is stale and greasy). Flavour tastes different and better than the standard salted, chicken, and bbq. They really need to spray the chips twice over with the seasoning though, a lot of the chips weren't even flavoured unfortunately. If they were adequately seasoned, they would be a perfect bag of chips! Show details
