Really good so far – I bought one of these 3 months ago based on the reviews and its a winner, easy to set up, easy to use and has simplified my pool maintenance massively. 5 year warranty. Does it actually work – The system itself looks and operates just fine but the chlorine levels in pool are almost zero. I have emailed the company for help a few days ago but is far no reply. It says 100% chlorine output but is it actually producing any I do not know. Pity nobody responds to my question via email. Very happy pool is spotless – Got this maybe 2-3 months ago. They were really helpful on the phone as to which size I needed and even offered to help me if I got stuck with install. is spotless. Only thing that could be upgraded would be if it had the cell housed similar to the zodiac unit with two connectors under it instead of one below and one at the back. The back one is quite tricky to get on and we had a few leaks before I finally got it fully tightened up.

Overall very happy, a great warranty and easy to use manual. Great budget chlorinator.

after an hour or so of troubleshooting the problem was fixed. The chlorinator must have power from the pump connected to it. Previously the pump was in its own dedicated power point controlled by Jandy Controller. Once this was done , we had to sacrifice some control options but got the chlorinator to work. The performance is super. In fact after 1 day we had too much chlorine produced and had to turn it down.

In the world of poor quality pool equipment this is a stand-out – I've spent many hours researching chlorinators and none were exactly reassuring. robust (although I've added waterproof shade cloth to further protect it). The controls are reassuringly simple without unnecessary complexity. I love the super chlorination feature and the salt measuring. I've been running it at 50% chlorine output for 2 weeks, just measured the chlorine in the pool and it's way too concentrated (I bought the kgs30 for a 40kl pool) - so dropped it down to 30%. My old chlorinator was a zodiac and was ok but definitely underpowered, underfeatured and lasted only 7 years. Everything seems well built - my only minor criticisms are that the inlet/outlet ports of the cell are different to the diagram supplied and it also took me an age to figure out how to set the timer. It is much more simple than other chlorinators - you just select which individual hours you want - I was looking for complexity. The true test of course will be in a few years - is it still doing what it should? But a 4 year warranty suggests that the manufacturers think it will be.

supplies to adjust to my system. Steve was very helpful on the phone discussing the installation. The chlorinator is working well, and the controls are user friendly. It also measures salt which my previous chlorinator did not. Comes with 4 year warranty. Will post again if I have any problems, but seems good.

the unit was easy to mount. Navigation through the unit was a breeze and I was instantly able to get to each menu and submenu intuitively, in fact more easily than the last chlorinator, after 3.5 years of practice. Many more features too. I can set the timer so that the pump can run in 1 hour increments with or without chlorination, I can get a salt reading (this was accurate when compared with the one performed at the store), I can see the water temperature, I can set a super-chlorination for 24 hours and then have the pump revert back to normal mode. None of this I could do with the other unit, or if I could do some of them, I never managed to figure out how! The backlighting was much better too. Plus 4 years warranty - no one else seems to do this. The pool is really clear and the cell seems to be doing its work at much lower settings than the last unit, which had been struggling these last couple of years. Australian made too. Very impressed so far.

Update: 16 months down the track and still working perfectly. Crystal clear water every day.

Great service – My Zodiac Chlorinator died after 4 years so I was immediately forced into chlorinator investigations - lots available. Anyway, I bought a K Chlor Digital Chlorinator from PoolStoreDirect 6 mths ago and have been very happy. It very easily produces enough chlorine for my 56,000 litre pool and navigation of the controls was easy to master. Highly Recommend

crystal clear all winter. Has a salt reader that is built into the program so you can test salt at a push of a button. Very happy with this chlorinator if i get life out of cells and unit i will never switch to another brand.
