Value in local communication – Haven’t made a claim yet ( proof of the pudding) but the folk at guardian seem very understanding and easy to talk to. Had an issue with my cc , and an old contact meaning I was behind a substantial amount ( gather they still have to pay their underwriter to keep my accrued benefits) but the waved the amount in total with no grief. to have an online portal to view details,, but outside that seem competitive and give you what feels like local, caring and informed assistant to call., something I give great value
Income protection and accident – Came down with permanent disability the Big C. Treatment is affecting me and cannot work 7 days anymore. So I rang to be told to do a claim. Ending in cancelling my policy due to not worth keeping it. Over 3 years of increase I cannot use this. Rejecting my claim. Sorry I am terminal. The people are nice just sad to say they cannot help me get through. Income protection. Show details

Good insurance to have – Been with them for 11 years now, policy is getting a lot more expensive as you are penalised for getting older to the point where you wonder if they want you to drop the cover before you can make a claim. Show details · 1

No longer a fan – I rang the company today reguarding increasing my insurance amount to be told that because there is a payment due in 5 days they. Carnt do anything until it clears. The only other dealing have have had with them was trying to change my banking details . After being on hold for over 20 minutes i gave up. Don’t bother with this company – Don’t bother waste of money the insurance company is absolutely a joke. Wouldnt even rate them as insurance company waste of money and complete waste of my time my husband has been with this company for yrs and never made a claim for income protection the minute he does he gets the run around when u pay premium to be protected and have no money… Read more

I’ve just spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone to have the payment debited on my account o – Haven’t lodged because there was no flexibility in having my problem resolved. Something simple like changing the payment day should be easy. But apparently not. Show details

Should have know better – Unfortunately I got bamboozled by insurace lingo, an easy misinterpretation on my behalf, making my extremely expensive policy useless. Fair enough..... I guess......I held the policy for six years without a late payment or without claim. are not available yet as the last tax returns have not been submitted yet. When I told the Lady handling the Claim that the way the Claim is going to be handled is going to determine whether I am going to continue with them as insurer , she told me that I can go ahead and cancel, it is not part of her Job to make sure Guardian Life keeps selling Insurances.

Worst Insurance Company Ever DO NOT TOUCH – This company will take your sign up over the phone happy as pie WELL try cancelling your policy. They claim you can't cancel over the phone only in writing then when you put it in writing they still refuse to cancel unless you speak to them direct.
