My go to site saw – When fitted with the 250mm crosscut track, it essentially become a very portable mitre saw. If you're not doing repitative lengths of cuts, might as well just get this out, may even be slightly faster than a bench mitre saw. Because it's so easy to line up cut mark. Battery life is fine, power is fine, even when ripping. Handy too that it is a… Read more
plunge track saw as well. Being able to quickly and accurately adjust the height of cut is great. Only negative is combination cuts at 45' on 45mm timber, because blade is just slightly too small. Well worth getting, no other circular saw can compare with the results of quality and speed.
Expensive yes but worth the cost – I own a lot of Blue tools... but I got the circular saw ejecting on the left, it wasn't great for me and the plate was always on the wrong side of my cuts. So I was going to buy the right one and went with the Festool HK55c. After the first use it was decided I will never go back to anything else. because of it I don't even carry my mitre saw anymore. I can do all my trims (with the help of a cheat sheet) flat, I get accurate cuts, dust free (hooked on my CT midi15), and I don't have to setup anything. I can usually work where I install them so no more walking in and out, it's a time saver. The depth gage is super easy compare to my Blue plunge saw, it's super accurate and I can do plunge cut if needed. I am a big user of the Systainer whether they are the blue kind or not, so it super efficient when it comes time to pack up or take the tools for the day. So having everything in systainer makes sense to me and they are all compatible so it's a big plus. Final words, Yes it's fancy expensive, do I use it daily? No. does it make my workflow efficient? Yes. Is it worth buying? For me it does, the time I save when I use it, the fact that I have no errors in my cuts (unless I measure wrong) so just with that I have saved myself a few Oh Sh#t I have to buy another trim just because I was shy a hair, That is no more.

Makes the job so much easier – The hkc55 is an excellent piece of equipment that has sped up my work process due to its efficient and easy use. I love how portable it is and that you can use it in places where it would be impossible to set up a mitre saw. Show details · 1
