MPN: DXIG22003 reviews
Living in a tropical climate with blackouts being the norm a generator is a smart buy. I decided to go with DeWALT,its a brand I have grown to trust. I paid $1,299 at Bunnings..expensive? yes,but one substantial blackout all the foods in the fridge and two freezers is lost.So one substantial blackout and the generator has paid for itself. absolute pittance the government gives in these circumstances would replace next to nothing. The generator weighs 25kilo which is nearly half the weight of the cheaper brands. It comes with a two year emissions warranty, the build itself is incredibly high quality. Having had a blackout the night before purchase we set it up ready to go by following the detailed instructions in the booklet. It runs at a very acceptable noise level…
It’s a very good generator and for the price very good – First the negative when compared to my 2kva Honda it’s not quite as quiet and when I run the same load on both the Honda handles the load better and lower revs. Now the positives It’s 1/2 the price of a Honda It runs longer like I got 9.6hrs out of a tank running a 40amp changer for 2hrs and a 25amp charger for 1hr. This was done repeatedly… Read more
every day for 14 days which is 42hrs in total and I used 20L fuel. Now that is very good in my book and I can’t get that out of my Honda. It’s an easy shape to pack when taking away. It has a very usable fuel gauge.
So I’ve been able to test it out on Fraser twice now and each time was for 14 days so this time it also worked well. Fuel consumption was real good again and we used a total of 22.5L and ran the generator for 49.5hrs that’s = 0.45L per hour of running. We did however have the generator go into overload once so not sure why as I’ve had it checked out and alls fine maybe it was the cheap charger I was using. So at this stage it’s doing its job well.
Very poor – Dewalt 2200. Only used for battery charger in a caravan. At 47 hours run time, owned it less than 12 months, motor blew. Brunnings immediately offered a replacement, but I said no, got full refund. Have bought a Honda instead. Show details
