Great bbq however the circular vent on the top of the charcoal lid wasn't a great seal which made in impossible to choke the grill (put out the the charcoal), I mentioned this to customer support who resolved the problem for me, so if you feel that the top vent is too loose then id recommend reaching out to them. an additional hotplate as an accessory to have more flexibility. Assembly was a bit time-consuming since it arrives flat-packed, but the instructions were clear enough and the build quality felt solid once it was all put together.

One of the most notable features is what Coleman calls their “flare-free” design. I’m not sure if “technology” is the perfect term, but the system does reduce flare-ups significantly. It’s pretty satisfying to see the grease drain off into a side cup rather than pooling at the bottom of the grill. This means less cleanup and a more consistent cooking experience.

Overall, I’d say it’s a very capable BBQ that’s well-built and performs reliably. It doesn’t feel like just another grill; it’s got a few smart touches that make it easier to use and maintain. In other words, it does the job well without too much fuss.

Great BBQ, flexible cooking styles with the option of using either Charcoal and Gas or both at the same time. The highlight for me was how quick and easy it was to light up the charcoal without using a chimney starter. We think the Coleman Revolution range looks sleek. But they go way beyond looks. Assembly took about 4 hours, but you really get to appreciate the quality of the materials used. Each piece just feel heavier and stronger than our previous BBQ. You really do get the impression this BBQ is going to outlast most of its competitors. It has a smaller footprint than some other 4 burner BBQs we looked at, but it still packs huge cooking surface. The BBQ features what Coleman call “Flare-Free Technology”, and thanks to its double/stacked grates and it’s unique way of draining away fats, it really does make a big difference and gives you much more confidence flipping fatty burger patties and the like.

While we have only used the BBQ a few times, we are just so impressed with the cooking results. The quality really does show through and we get all the benefits of barbecued foods without the excessive charring you can get with flareups from other BBQs. The lid is double-layered and you can really notice the great heat retention. This is great for indirect cooking, and the precise gas control means you can easily nail your desired internal temp. This BBQ really does allow you to take your BBQ chef skills to a new level.

The other thing we have noticed is how fast this BBQ heats up. We used to have our old BBQ fully cranked, hood down, for a full 20 minutes before it was ready to start cooking. This BBQ is hitting 300degrees + in half that time! The other major benefit we have noticed, is the sides and inside hood surfaces still look like new. Cleaning seems like it is already going to be much easier. We guess the fat draining system and flare free features are contributing to less splatters and smoke/soot buildup? Either way, we are already loving these time saving features, something we had not considered before buying this BBQ.

We are by no means BBQ gurus. We have not tested other BBQs in this price range. But we can say with some confidence after doing our research and now owning a Coleman Revolution, we don’t think you’ll find a BBQ that offers better value at this price point. We are thrilled with our purchase highly recommend this BBQ.

***UPDATE*** Assembly was pretty straight forward. It took two people 2 hours. Only problem was I was supposed to get 10 washers, but only got 8, aside from that, all good. Very happy with my purchase and looking forward to hosting friends with my new BBQ.

A great BBQ, but I can't give a really positive review given the awful packaging. A 78kg box? Who can lift that and why can't you split it into a few packages so you don't kill your customers? Hence rating lowest on safety. Overall the instructions to build the BBQ were good, it had some mistakes. So only buy if you are a weight lifter, don't need help opening jars, and care little for the environment.

Shopped around for bbq for a long time. Finally settled on the the Dual Fuel as we like both options to cook with. It’s fantastic. We have used each side separately or had both in when needing.
