Good for amateur bird photography – High zoom (1350mm equivalent) makes it good for identification purposes at home. Reasonably light and compact. Can't charge battery in situ; android transfer app is currently useless, so you need to use a cable for transfer to a PC; not good at low light; relatively inexpensive at several hundred dollars. You are not going to be able to enlarge a… Read more

photo to "poster size" without pixelation - A4 is fine. Am yet to try "tracking" or many features and using all automatic setting. Suits my needs for at home bird identification.

some pros and cons compared to SX60 – Ever since I bought Canon SX40, I began to buy any new models from this super zoom cameras. I bought SX50 and SX60 in the past years. I have been super satisfied with SX60. Unfortunately, it was broken down just two months ago after being used for nearly 4 years. Naturally I bought SX70 straight away. like to say that there is not any great improvement from SX60.

Pros: I can shoot panorama which I really love. A little bit smaller than SX60. Good at shooting moving stuff.

Cons: Not very good at shooting when darker compared to SX60. Sometimes quite hard to focus on what I want to shoot.

In general, I would say that if there was still SX60 on the market, I would rather buy SX60.

Super Zoom point and shoot – I have owned the SX-20 then I bought an SX30 then the SX 50 and now I have the awesome SX70. The SX70 shoots 4k video and ultra high res photos with a 65x 21-1365mm lens. I needed to upgrade the memory cards I used for my SX50 because they weren't fast enough. After I did that, I could not be happier. The photos are great. Just turn it on and… Read more

start shooting. The videos are very good. The zoom exceeded my expectations.

The only negatives I have is they have removed the hot shoe, but that's no biggie for me as I never used the hot shoe on any of my previous models.

Video uploading to my pc via a USB cable using the import pictures function of Windows 7 isn't working properly, I have found if I copy paste the videos, it works no problem.
