Good little action camera for the price – Bought this as a rush purchase before going on a massive family trip. I wanted to capture some of the action, but didn't have an action camera, and didn't want to splash out big in case it got lost or damaged. The shipping from Amazon was phenomenal, and the camera arrived the day after I had ordered it (which was a day before we set off). Once I… Read more

unpacked it, I was pleasantly surprised to find 2x batteries, and a charging dock included. Alongside the batteries were a bunch of accessories and mounts. So many accessories and mounts, that I had buyer's remorse for splashing out on an additional accessory pack. One major downside of this purchase, was it doesn't come with an included memory card, so be aware you will have to source one separately. Also, this camera only supports a 32gb SD card, so only a few 4k videos and you memory card will be full. There is a phone app called Akaso Go, and you can connect to the camera wirelessly. I found the app quite clunky, and not entirely intuitive to use. The connection to your phone is via wifi also, so this limits what you can do on your phone while connected to the camera. Once all charged and memoried up, I strapped this camera inside the waterproof case, and onto the bullbar of my 4wd and hit the tracks. The mount seemed flimsy and not overly tight, though I must admit it took an absolute mountain of punishment and never came loose. In fact my UHF aerial snapped in half from the punishment, though the camera mounted a few CM below never moved. The quality of the videos I took was pretty decent without being spectacular. I limited it to 2k videos though, as I was concerned about filling the memory card too quickly. Watching the videos back was near pointless on the tiny screen, and the phone app was a pain to navigate around, so had to wait until I could plug in to a PC. Overall though, considering the price point, I think this is a good little action camera for the right occassion.

Pros: Comes with 2 batteries and charger Lots of accessories Mounts and case very hardy

Cons: Doesn't come with memory card Only compatible with upto 32gb card App is pretty aweful

Reasonable in bright environments, mid-to-low light though forget it – I bought this camera to primarily record at 1080p 60fps, to sit mostly stationary and record the birds on my balcony. The first thing I noticed was the horrible greyish/milkyness that the camera produces when in slightly low light conditions, and a pattern of what looks like interference running through those regions in the video, and adjusting… Read more

both the exposure and white balance seemed to do nothing to improve this.

In high-light (outside in sunlight) the camera seemed to wash out some parts with over-brightness..

The manual says it can take upto a 32Gb MicroSD card but I found it's compatible with and can use 128gb Sandisk Extreme cards (which it really needs for capturing video at high bitrates), It comes with a lot of accessories and is also compatible with some GoPro accessories too which is handy, and the menu system is reasonably good, but as for it's claim to be a '4K' camera, it upscales the lower resolution sensor image to the 4K pixel size so you end up with blockyness and artifacts in the video footage.. Not good, but 'just ok' for a very cheap camera..

I really expected a lot better from this camera considering my far cheaper wifi security camera has far better light balancing.
