Worst experience ever. Cheap product that was vibrating. We tried to return and get our money back and were told that they will need to run tests and that it was normal. If defected, they only agreed to pay back our money for the defected fridge and not the whole battery and solar system that we bought with it. Unit cooled to setting of minus 5 degrees, on 240 volt supply, 24 hours prior to being loaded with already frozen food. Unit then set to minus 8 degrees, on ECO setting. Placed in an internal bathroom, with wool blanket placed on top and sides, room… Read more
temperature 19-24 degrees. Vents were clear. After 4 days, when the unit ran almost constantly, it never reached the minus 8 degree setting, but cycled between minus 3 and minus 5 degrees. Food still remained frozen however. A Dometic 47 litre freezer was also in the same area, and set at minus 12 degrees, which it reached and maintained and only ran for about half the days whilst the Kings was running almost constantly. Suggest any purchaser think twice of purchasing this type.
Follow-up · Unit has its own insulated bag, but as temps were 19-24 I added a wool blanket. Vents were clear. Works OK on 12 volt. Kings advise that the unit is not defective, hence not returnable. I pointed out to Kings that the unit never reached its setting of minus 8, after 4 days of near constant running, but this was ignored. As mentioned, the Dometic unit (in the same area) performed far better. Basically, you get what you pay for...........

fridge/freezer in my caravan. As far as I can tell it's just as good as the 50 litre Escape fridge/freezer I bought for the back of my Troopcarrier when my ironman 75 litre dual compartment fridge freezer died. So I am now relying totally on 3 Kings fridge/freezers for all of my cold storage needs in my caravan and I'm liking my chances of not being let down through the coming Summer.
Follow-up · One month later and the upright fridge is still going quite well, mainly because of the internal fan (Kings Upright Fridge Fan Kit) I added from Rogue Canopies which has kept the temps stable around 2 to 3C and has stopped the freezer from frosting up a single time.
