I’m really happy with them! They look stylish and modern, and the build feels solid. The seats are comfy enough for long dinners, and the color fits perfectly with my dining setup.

Excellent for their price – Purchased to match a second hand table I purchased and couldn't be happier. Assembly is easy, though when you're doing 4+ definitely get an extra hand as it can become tedious. Comfortable, light weight and sturdy.

The table is great and a good size. The outdoor umbrella is also from T&W and compliments the three piece set from Bunnings. The cushions are olive although more like sage from amazon.

Assembly nightmare - poorly designed instructions and hardware – I bought the Ekedalen table and 6 chairs. I had it professionally assembled via Ikea. It took the assemblers about 10 hours to complete the job.… Read more

Really. I am pretty happy with the table; it's durable and quite scratch proof- suitable for children. However, a bit over a year after we bought the set, one of the chairs developed a crack in the leg and started coming apart at the join. I contacted Ikea who agreed to send a replacement. I tried to assemble the new chair (Ikea did not offer to supply an assembler even though we originally paid for that) and accidentally screwed a bolt right through the front of the chair. I think the instructions and design were pretty poor - no warning at all that it was even possible to do that. I shouldn't need an engineering degree to understand the instructions. The problem seems to be the cylindrical piece that anchors the bolt (see photos). You can screw the bolt into the piece, but you can also screw it out the other side. There's no reason for that piece to be open on the other side. That would have prevented me screwing it too far. With the benefit of hindsight, there is a symbol in the manual that has a spiral diagram and numbers 1 and 2 (pictured) but I had no idea that that was meant to mean only turn the bolt twice. Not even the people at Ikea could decode that instruction. I then had to take the chair back to Ikea to ask them to replace the broken piece. They did not want to do that. They claimed it was my fault and I showed them the page in the manual and ask them to explain how I could possibly understand their language-free instructions. We spoke to two people at Ikea who repeatedly said they didn't have a replacement part in stock. I said I expected them just to replace the whole chair. When I said I thought the cylindrical anchor piece was poorly designed because you can screw the bolt right through it and it should not be open at both sides, the Ikea person said it was like that because they use that piece in lots of furniture and sometimes you are meant to screw the bolt right through it. So the part is poorly designed because it's cheaper for Ikea to produce it that way. Only when I asked to speak to the store manager did they produce the replacement part in about 20 seconds - having apparently lied about having it repeatedly. Appalling customer service. I also recalled the assembler mentioning that he had assembled replacement tables for a number of customers who had screwed a bolt right through the top of the table. It's likely a similar design problem. Having got the replacement piece, it took me 40 minutes to assemble the chair. It's pretty horrible to assemble with no space to turn the Allen key, so you do frustrating little quarter turns then spend 20 seconds trying to re-attach the key. I would probably get better with practice and I did have a little person helping but allow about 30 minutes per chair if you just use the supplied tools.

scratches. I know there is a protective film to protect against staining but it is so soft that even light use with placemat protection the surface is getting damaged with fine and deep scratches. When I purchased it I asked about the durability of the surface and was reassured by the salesman that it was a strong finish. The customer service team have looked at it and have told me that there is no scratch protection with these tables. As I have only had this table for a short time I hate to think what it is going to look like in a couple of years.

A $3,000 Disappointment — Poor Service, Flawed Design, and Shoddy Craftsmanship I purchased this table last year, initially impressed by its sleek… Read more

appearance. At first glance, it looks like a premium piece of furniture — but that illusion quickly fades once you experience everything that comes after.

The problems began with the delivery: careless, rushed, and utterly unprofessional. Assembly was a disaster. The legs were damaged during setup, and the table was left improperly put together. I contacted customer service, hoping for a remedy. What I got instead was a weak attempt at a “repair” — no replacement of damaged parts, just some chamfering to cover up the flaws. Essentially, they took a brand-new, expensive table and slapped a Band-Aid on it.

Fast-forward a few months, and the structural issues became even more apparent. Despite its weight, the table wobbles with the slightest pressure. It’s as if the base isn’t properly engineered to support the heavy top. Whether this is a design flaw or just poor assembly is unclear — but either way, it’s unacceptable for something in this price range.

Bottom line: This table is all style and no substance. Between the subpar service, damage during delivery, lackluster repairs, and questionable stability, I strongly regret this purchase. For $3,000, you expect quality. What I got was a headache.

Wood quality is questionable – Birchwood is suppose to be a hardwood. But this desk gets indented easily. It is so soft I can even leave an imprint by pressing from my fingernails.… Read more

I have a cheap cot from IKEA which is made from a wood much harder than this table (it is discontinued and I don't see a comparable cot in IKEA online now). I am using it as a computer table and even the computer casing has left indentations.

Apart from that the surface is smooth and feels nice on skin. Assembly wasn't as difficult as usually over engineered ikea products.

So Disappointed with The Dining Chairs – 2 of the 6 chairs we purchased had to be returned due to manufacturing faults. The chairs come with the assembly required being putting on the legs.… Read more

This is done by securing them with screws that have a hand turn on the end (see picture). This results in sore hands pretty quickly posing uneven tightness an then once you have sat on them for a few weeks they loosen up and you go through the same process again. It is a poor design and you can never get the chairs to sit 100% flush with the ground.

The 2 stars is only given due to the fact that getting replacement chairs wasn't difficult once they acknowledged their was a fault which was borderline OK. The chairs themselves a waste of money and time with ongoing maintenance.

Leather quality is good - frame and design terrible – Bought 4y ago. The chairs have been a statement after our white wishbone dining chairs (replicas that lasted 8 years!) However, we started to notice… Read more

a few flaws with the design and making of this replica. The back started moving as it’s only hold by single screws on each side. So if you have a heavy person seating for a while, more likely it will start loosing up. One of the screws finally gave way and although we thought it was just something to adjust, we realised that the inside of the back was plywood that broke off around the screw. We have loved these chairs as they are wide and comfortable but I wouldn’t full price for them to last a few years. Leather is good though - hence 2 stars.

purchased their protective spray. I said I don't want anything high maintenance for a dining table and if you have to use spray, then I don't want the table. She followed me walking off and said the table was easy to clean, practical and would be okay, she told many lies by assuring me that the table doesnt mark easily and eventually sold me the $1500 table, she even talked me into buying the $50 spray. I sprayed the table with two coats as soon as I got it. And surprise surprise the table is beyond high maintenance and has weird marks and textures on the table. I have hardly used the table because I was to scared to and already it has marks on it. I was lied to, the table is not fit for purpose, you can't use it to simply dine at, even with protective spray, placemats, coasters and a table runner. Do not buy this table, save your money and don't listen to the salespeople, complete lies to get the sale.

I purchased this white dining table hoping for a sleek and modern addition to my home, but unfortunately, it has been nothing but a disappointment.… Read more

The biggest issue is that the table stains incredibly easily—any food spill, even minor ones, leave marks that are almost impossible to remove. No matter what cleaning product I use, the stains remain, and in the process of trying to clean them, the table’s smooth surface has started to wear down.

To make matters worse, when I reached out to customer service to inquire about a return, their response was shockingly unprofessional. They compared the table to a white shirt, saying that if I stained a white shirt with food, I wouldn’t expect to return it. A dining table is a place where we eat, not a piece of clothing! This dismissive attitude left me extremely disappointed.

Overall, this table is not practical for everyday use, especially in a dining setting. If you’re considering purchasing it, be prepared for a frustrating experience with both the product and the company’s customer support.

staining variation . I bought mats to practically cover it ! There are only 2 adults using it and anything scratched it . I can put up with that BUT a glass on a mat and it still managed to get a stain! Globewest apparently said it’s wear and tear even though the table is barely used and that it’s not a premium product so you have to take care ! Are you kidding me ? It’s supposed to be a dining table . It costs nearly 2k. It’s in my casual dining area off the kitchen amd as there’s lots of glass and light I can see their “wear and tear” aka poor unsatisfactory finish every day. It is not fit for purpose . So buyer beware.. 2k down the drain after only 6 months . Arrogant Globewest, pathetic customer service .
